Following the release of his debut 'Frame Relay' EP last year, Sydney producer Endgrain (Jackson May) returns with his 'La Junta' EP & new single “Way Back”. La Junta is the culmination of over a year’s work for Endgrain, with the release highlighting the producer’s breadth & genre-defying work.

"La Junta" finds May finessing his satisfyingly simple looping technique highlighted on debut single, "4 x 4". Tribal percussion and staccato vocal samples layer and combine to form a pace-perfect track focussed for the floor. New single "Way Back" follows a winding bassline and simple hook, playing with listener expectations across three distinct movements. Finally, "Costa del Sol" features latin pianos, splashy cymbals and bubbly horn lines to form the EP's cheeky closer.

May says of the release: "It feels like only yesterday I was in the studio writing tracks for my second EP but in fact it's been a good few months (almost six) since the tracks have been finished... or at least as finished as a piece of creative output ever is. It has been a year of change, highs and lows (the usual kind), and while I've not achieved half of what I set out to do this year, I'm happy to be releasing this EP (and even happier to be releasing it on October Records). From around 20 or so sessions/tracks, 6 were flagged for release, 3 in this EP, with more to come very soon!"
