For release number 045, Luv Shack Records brings together two long time contributors Jakobin and ROTCIV for a split EP thats brimming with references to early 90s electronica.
Jakobin lays the foundation with the bubbly, trance infused „Drawan“, follows up with the spooky, upbeat electro of „Skulpt“, and finishes off with „Octagonial Tribe“, a track that oscillates between laid back melodies and squelchy acid sequences.
On the flip-side, ROTCIV showcases his signature style of industrial new beat madness: „Frenesy“ marries breakbeats with syncopated synthesizer sequences, „No More Room in Hell“ sound like a late 80s Italo Disco instrumental on steroids, while „The Confidence“ opts for broken beats and ethereal FM-flutes. As a digital bonus, ROTCIV gifts us with a heavy hitting, acid infused track by the name of „Living Art“.

Ende Oktober 2014 kündigte Gunnar Stiller den zweiten Teil der Zusammenstellung “Upon.You Diary N°4″ an. Am 17. November 2014 war es soweit: Das Berliner Label Upon.You Records brachte eine weitere Ansammlung von zwölf Tracks raus. Unter anderem sind der aus Erfurt stammende Beatamines, Marco Resmann und Ruede Hagelstein sowie der niederländische Produzent ONNO mit jeweils einem Werk vertreten.

The next incursion of the Quixotical Records into the dark realms presents the spot-on collaboration among some of the hottest young producers of the so-called Indie Dance/Dark Disco scene: Poulper X Tots X Cali Burton spared no efforts to deliver a crunchy single filled with complex layers and throbbing arpeggios. The icing on the cake: Heinech and Ludviq & Nick Hanzo jumped in with characteristic interpretations.

This is not the first time the lads work together: Poulper and Tots have already colluded for a track on Espacio Cielo, while the former and Mr Burton have published an EP on Coquelicot Records. If we consider that Tots and Cali Burton also create under the moniker Renuna, then the number of themes the three virtuosos co-developed goes a little bit higher, including the solid "Over Black Fire", available in our FREEDL series (https://sxdns.de/free_downloads/028).

The original, premiered here, is a revision of an old version. It kicks off with a cosmic opening perfectly paired with shards of Latin vibes. The progressive aura is intended to delight the audience with its peak-time trippy gait. Well done, lads!

Just This 's first Various Artists aims to the research of a mix of sounds by producers from different countries, to a journey into a variegated world. Melancholic vibes, deep ambient atmospheres.

The second part of the Various Artists, gets straight to the point, reaching the dancefloor in a more hard and deep insistent way.

The first track ‘’Inside world’’ is composed by Hunter/Game, as a playful banger with a solid kick, brushed percussions and surging, subtly atmospheric synth pads that make the track dreamy while fierce.

The second one by Pisetzky comes with a strong, continuous 4/4 bassline and organic percussion from start to end, further on dominated by a hypnotic melody followed by a more romantic and dreamy motif full of longing melancholy and eternity.

The third one comes from Just This new Artist Altman, with a breaking mellow downbeat theme, it lets all squeaky sounds mesh nicely like a dream landscape opening up into a widescreen chord progression, with an epic build up.

microcastle&#39;s second offering of 2020 welcomes MULYA to the label for his debut EP. The Hungarian artist first came to our attention in 2017 with an EP for MoBlack Records. Stylistically fresh and well received by his contemporaries and tastemakers alike, it set the course for what has been a three-year creative swell. With a keen emphasis on rhythm and harmony, the Budapest resident crafts
memorable electronic music which sits comfortably in a wide range of inventive spaces, while being favoured by trendsetters such as Ame, Bog, Denis Horvat, Dixon, Fideles, Frankey & Sandrino, Glowal, Lehar and Trikk. 
MULYA remains highly selective with his output, choosing his projects wisely and laying claim to an impressive discography, highlighted by releases on Atlant, Multinotes and Sum Over Histories. Now following an EP for Adana Twins’ TAU imprint to begin the year, MULYA debuts on microcastle with "Chrome Extra" 
Spread across five tracks, MULYA’s microcastle debut is an eclectic blend of electronica, disco, indie-dance and melodic house. Emotionally charged throughout, the journey begins with the broken beats and electric grooves of ‘Out of Sync’. It’s pensive overlays and warped arps make for a compelling first act, before a cinematic break shifts the narrative into a tense yet spirited finale of pulsating rhythms and tantalizing acid hooks. The energy continues to rise with
the disco-infused grooves of ‘Frisco’. Possessing a dramatic undercurrent, punchy kicks and detailed percussion create waves of energy at the outset. Fiery lines add mightily to it’s hypnotic drive, eventually melting down into a canopy of charming overlays. As the breakdown reaches a euphoric peak a flurry of drums transfers
energy into an exhilarating drop and thrilling final movement. 
The spellbinding ‘Espinosa’ further cements MULYA’s elusive vision, as a tight rhythmic core gets complemented with supersonic synths and shuddering bass tones. Compelling and tense, the centrepiece is a sensory delight, with its explorative modulation and piercing build ending in a striking re-entry. Shifting moods further into the indie-dance spectrum is the collection’s title selection ‘Chrome Extra’. A backbone of robust beats sits at the foundation, underpinning a
fascinating meld of retro synths and disorientating projections. Hopeful pads beam brightly across the second movement, bringing a spiritual sense to the storyboard, while perfectly prophesizing a poignant finale that’s destined for many memorable club moments.
Diversifying his portfolio further, it is MULYA’s masterstroke to round the collection out with the electronic experimentalism of ‘Fontane’. Highlighting the seven-minute excursion is an amalgamation of broken beats, vivid soundscapes and sensory saturating artifacts. The best musical mavericks never seem to rest on their laurels or lie stagnant for too long. While continuing to operate at a creative peak they mutate and morph, refusing to be boxed in and thus expanding
their sonic palette. MULYA has accomplished that and more with ‘Chrome Extra’, carrying a unique sonic aesthetic throughout, while achieving a rare balance between such sprawling genres.
