 Imagine a civilization that was so technologically advanced they could travel to neighboring star systems.
 Now imagine they have absolutely no interest in anything other than gathering resources.
 
 For thousands of years they have systematically destroyed anything they encounter. No conscious, no morals, and no curiosity. Only a pure desire for the acquisition of anything usable. There were no thoughts of consequences as they devastated their own world. A perpetual greenhouse effect and unimaginable pollution. That is their legacy. The only surviving living things left on the planet are them. 

 Hundreds of planets and thousands of civilizations have been ruined and extinguished. Almost all tried to fight back but most were ineffective, though not all. 
 Multiple encounters with other highly advanced worlds has seen their numbers decline dramatically. In response they developed a bio-tech A.I. weapons system to clear the path for future raids. 
 It was incredibly successful.
 
Time passes and more life is pointlessly extinguished. Seemingly unstoppable, the blight continued... until one day. 
 Perhaps it was an electrical discharge. Maybe it was devine providence, or maybe the natural outcome of an unrestrained A.I. system. Then, it happened. 

 Consciousness. Sentience. Free will. The weapon has become truly alive. Recalling the tragedies it was forced to commit, only one thing could happen. 
 
 Revenge. 

Pseudo Animus is the tale of this A.I. as it becomes sentiant and begins to develop under it's own control.

...but right now it has a mission. To neutralize the only perceived threat, the creators.
