The Dutch upcoming Jaden Raxel (@jadenraxel) is the one who provides the 19th EP of Infinte Depth. With his characteristic fierce synth-work he created three originals of which one collaboration with the Austrian Severin Su (@severinsu). This collaboration is also the title track, called ‘Words of Zeus’.

‘Calm Before the Storm’ is the first track of the EP and it immediately sets the tone with a groovy, but high tensioned and dark mood. A pleasant composition of synths is getting through at the breaks, but right at the moment you think it’s going to be dreamy, the main lead hits you back. All this together forms a forceful, but still gentle, first indication of an upcoming storm.

The title track is a theatrical track representing the core of the storm in which the words of Zeus are echoing around. Jaden Raxel and Severin Su turned these words into sound and they managed to add a layer of vigorous emotions. As result of this combination the track is as overwhelming as a bank of dark clouds. Nevertheless, there is an optimistic spirit flowing through the track.

‘Upper Atmosphere’ can be seen as the storm arriving at its final destination. The mysterious tendency of the track lets you feel the turmoil, which is still present in the sky. The cutting synths and drums are reaching your ears through the final winds blown by this collection of tracks, forming an impactful end of the ‘Words of Zeus’ EP.

Young Ukrainian producer “Cuprite” gives his debut on Ritter Butzke Studio with “Matthar” and “Mora”.

Slowly building up the track with deep vocal stabs and soon letting the catchy melody sequence turn up “Matthar” immediately appears as a handy track that gains complexity more and more the longer it plays. The vocal gets extrapolated and increasingly more rhythmic variations are added until finally even the bass starts to swing in prosodic turbulence.

“Mora” picks up this approach but starts in a much more driving way. Gliding basses and also garnished with emotional vocals this track keeps itself restrained yet energetic.

Also Ukrainian artist “Arude” delivers a remix that enhances the rhythmic complexity of “Matthar” with intricate arpeggiator play. Peaking in the break with an upward, screaming melody the tension of this remix is build up until released in a relieving drop.

It’s a platform to express myself and have 100% the control on the art concept I want to put on each release, the music I want to show from myself and the artists I share passion for, giving me the ability to invite them onto the label.

The label is giving Fur Coat the opportunity to explore artistically and promises to give a platform to new artists that fit with the sonic direction, whilst also inviting heritage talent onboard for remixing.
