Oddkut’s Nightmare EP sees Moscow’s UNITED label return to the bass focussed sound that has so popularised them. The EP opens with ‘Dead Place,’ a resonant track that echoes from drop to drop. Its unmistakeable machine like bass gives the track a very industrial feel.

This industrial theme continues into ‘Nightmare,’ the second track of the EP, which sees Oddkut slow the tempo to 120, but continue to maintain the bass heavy sound.

Astute Oddkut fans will notice ‘The Rotten’ to be the long awaited release of the instrumental for Oddkut’s ‘Rate Us’ Remix. Even without Killa P’s iconic vocal, the track is weighty, and demonstrates Oddkut’s enduring ability to produce hits at 140.

The final track of the EP sees Oddkut collaborate with MSTKS in what is set to be a future classic. Bells chime, mixed to perfection in the background as Oddkut’s exceptional sound design shows its prominence in a swirling, all encompassing bass sound.

Dedicated in loving memory of Timothy Charles Smith: 1961-2020

The EP is inspired directly by the Cardiacs song "Wireless" from their 1996 album "Sing To God", serving as a sort of mini "concept album" that re-inteprets and retells the story found in the lyrics penned by the late Smith, with all four track titles coming directly from these lyrics. 

The Wireless EP follows the fate of Jenny, a young woman who takes her own life only to find that her ghost becomes trapped inside of her wireless radio.

What's up everyone ?? It's been basically 14 months since my last upload here !!

Since my last upload included almost a full hour of filthy halftime & heavy drum & bass, I decided to contrast that by throwing down a deep 140 dubstep mix for all of my OG listeners. <3 I tried to keep it short & sweet but include some of my favourite tunes dating all the way back to 2012. As always, you'll also find a handful of Conscious Wave releases in there (both FORTHCOMING & out now). Huge shout out to the artists on this playlist !! <3

Even though live events & IRL bookings have been a total right off for most of us over the past year, I just wanted to give a huge thanks & shout out to anyone who has been listening to my mixes during the pandemic regardless.
