Hanover-based Session Restore has been consistently releasing sophisticated house for more than a decade. Today we feature Love Bot, his contribution to the upcoming Just Stretchin’ various artists EP. 

The track is a five-minute deep house excursion getting straight to business right away. With hints of STL and Move D, the track’s chords and pads take turns back and forth in the spotlight, working in conjunction with the percussion to keep you dancing for the duration of the track. Towards the end of the track, the kick comes to a halt and descends gradually into the outro until it’s all over.

The whole EP is quite dance floor friendly, with the rest of the tracks featuring some euphoric breakbeat sounds. We hope to hear them frequently in clubs over the coming months.

Queer DJ born and raised in Nottingham but is now based in Manchester. He was first educated in underground music culture through the legendary Nottingham night Wigflex (@wigflex) and learned the importance of our community through attending various (queer) nights at The White Hotel. 

This mix is inspired by those nights, so Sebastien wanted to keep it club-focused. Here is a collection of some of my favourite tunes, some recent, some less recent, and some from before he was even born. As well as tracks from some of his favourite labels like @x-kalay, @common-ancestors, and @warningberlin. Given how much he enjoys these tunes, Sebastien really wanted to let the tracks speak for themselves.

With several releases under his belt Manchester-based artist Aiden Francis definitely has left the status of one to look out for and turned it to one to follow when searching for inspiring genre-spanning music to play out. His outings on Magic Carpet, Gestalt Records, Houseum Records and, his latest, on Holly Lester’s Duality Trax certainly have paved Aiden the way for a bright future in the electronic music scene. His less is more approach as well as his “elusive character“ and - let’s say it - the changing hair-colors conduced to Aiden’s success. But maybe it’s his recklessness of not taking himself too seriously that makes the originally from Yorkshire-coming artist an appealing character in the scene and this, in combination with his music, is golden and definitely continues the golden era of emerging artists from northern England. In his interview with Torture the Artist Aiden speaks about his pre-artist times, the status quo, his obsession with digging music as well as studio works and releases. Alongside the interview he delivers a club-oriented mix to ring in the weekend.
