If you're into house music, chances are you've come across the name of Telfort before. The Edinburgh-based artist has been releasing some of the underground's finest house cuts since emerging on the scene in 2014. His very first outings, a self-released trilogy of EPs stamped his mark loud and clear - quickly garnering him fans amongst music-lovers and DJs alike.Telfort also runs his own parties in his home town of Edinburgh, hosting the likes of Aziesch, Damiano von Erckert, and Cinthie. We love his work here at BB HQ, he does an excellent job at creating true house music which stands the test of time. Catch us in 15 years time...still listening to his tunes on repeat, feeling increasingly refreshed with each subsequent listen. Needless to say, we are very excited to have him on board our Mixed By series. Here's what he had to say.....

We caught up with the German maestro to discuss his longevity in the scene from early collaborations in the 90’s such as Primitive Painter to present day output, including an upcoming album. “Savanna” is a track born from silence, light, and reverence.
I wanted to create something that breathes—not just with rhythm, but with space, depth, and ancestral memory. Inspired by Zulu and Swahili spirituality, this piece fuses traditional African percussion with ambient deep house elements that never dominate, but simply support.

The heartbeat of Savanna lies in the organic warmth of udu, shekere, ngoma, and djembe—recorded and layered with the intent to feel like a slow, sacred ritual at dusk. Every sound was chosen to honor presence, not performance.

Though this piece was originally imagined as an instrumental, the unexpected vocals became a gift—clear, fluid, and filled with spirit. They brought the track to life without taking away its space.

This is music for walking inward.
For sunsets without resolution. For grounding, expanding, and dissolving.

MANAMANA was luckily invited for the first breathtaking edition of @NACHTIVILLE Festival last weekend near Amsterdam. This is a seven hours live recording (in two parts) from the local crazy tropical pool floor "aqua mundo". Repeat and/or Enjoy!
