This song is very personal to me, I created the whole song in two hours when I was feeling at my lowest. A memory of hazy daydream, a wonderful fleeting feeling we used to enjoy. This song is one of my favourites as of yet, it’s really a personal testament to the development of my sound since the start of my music journey, it’s one of my shorter pieces that I actually prefer to leave it as it is, a momentary enjoyment that they can leave on repeat. I hope this can put a smile on my listeners faces and reminisce with me as they get lulled with the same peace of mind I get from listening to this track.

I wanted to write a song about my struggles of dealing with expectations from parents, peers & elders and imagining a world without those stresses. This is a song about growth and acknowledgement of the things that has passed and the things that can be. I ended the song with the hook from my original voice recording and added the subtle gentle chatter of my friends in the background for that little extra meaning. I feel that many in this generation can relate and I hope you will too c:

Reminiscent of a lazy Sunday night, hidden behind the hums of a peaceful and calm melody, our song cloud9 tells an endearing story of finding solace in the midst of loss. 

After Cliffe and I met on a music Discord server, he remixed a short snippet of me freestyling with my guitar into a lofi tune. What happened next changed how we saw the songwriting process, as we were able to make a complete song come to life despite being across the world from each other at a 12-hour difference!
