Charles Calvet aka @coupemelba, is a french DJ and producer currently based in Los Angeles. Classically trained in piano and guitar in the UK, he produces a vein of house music that combines old school influences from around the world with a more modern production style. 

Coupe started to release music under this alias the past year and has releases out on labels such as @thebasementmusic, @Anotherrhythmrecords and @sattarecords. Through both solo and collaborative EPs, the french producer reached the charts in every release with "Mi Corazón" at top 15 on Traxsource and "Pelota" sitting at Beatport's Top 10 for more than two weeks. He has received support from Disclosure, Piem, Daniele Davilo and Eimerris.

He has notably performed at Snowglobe Music Festival in 2015 and at Frost Music Festival in 2017, opening for Broods and Zedd. He collaborates with his brother Adrien Calvet in the studio and has performed at events organized by Adrien's collective "Sublet" in New York City. He also produces for Soul Syrup, a neo-soul/blues duo with vocalist Brittany Pfantz.
