Compositeur, chef d’orchestre et figure de la vie musicale française, notamment par ses responsabilités au sein du nouvel Orchestre philharmonique de Radio-France et sa direction du Conservatoire national supérieur de musique de Lyon, Gilbert Amy compte parmi les créateurs français les plus importants et les plus remarqués de sa génération. Né en 1936, il a tout d’abord marché dans les traces des grands aînés que sont Boulez et Stockhausen, tout en exprimant très vite sa différence grâce à un langage riche et original, en particulier dans les domaines de l’orchestre, de la voix et de l’électroacoustique.

Olivier Duverger Houpert is a multi-faceted musician. He trained in classical and contemporary saxophone - a repertoire he still loves and practices today - with Philippe Geiss and Lars Mlekusch (2010-2014) in Strasbourg and Vienna. He then turned to the field of free improvisation and its many ramifications. This work led him to join the Interprétation et Création Musicales doctorate program at the Collège Glarean in Strasbourg. Her research focuses on the perspective of the performer in collaborative works in movement, or comprovisations, combining writing and improvisation.
His powerful, poetic improvisations and interpretations reflect an ongoing reflection on energy and musical gesture, finding their way into the interstices between categories, r installations.
Olivier is founder of the improvisation ensembles Al Zouhir/Duverger and Grch. Also a member of the RE/SONO saxophone quartet, he won the 2017 Illzach (France) and Salieri-Zinetti (Verona, Italy) International Chamber Music Competitions. In 2024, this ensemble appeared as soloist with the Orchestre d'Harmonie des Jeunes de Strasbourg in a concerto commissioned from Jordan Gudefin. He has also performed with the Ensemble L'Imaginaire, and is associate artist of the Fugue [31] theater company for the Dire II project (creation 2025).
Olivier performed as a soloist in 2016 with the Ukho ensemble in Ukraine, and with his ensembles or as a soloist in Argentina, Spain, at the NEW/NOW, Musica, SaxOpen and Météo festivals, and at the World Saxophone Congress in Zagreb. He regularly gives master-classes and workshops in saxophone (University of Milan, Buenos Aires, Almeria Conservatories, etc.) and improvisation (Riga Academy of Music, Berlin Universität der Kunst, Cholet CRD).
