Predictable Girl

Tatsuya Kanamori goes by the name DJ Shufflemaster, a veteran driver for rolling hard-groove still going strong after three long decades. In his native Japan (around the time names like Takaaki Itoh and DJ Nobu were on the rise), his earliest ventures were closely tied to the work of Tokyo’s Subvoice, dynamic techno through and through. His arrival in Europe coincided with his 17 track debut album on Tresor Records, EXP (rereleased 2023), and proved his mettle as one of Tokyo’s best and brightest exports. Earmarked by talents like Ben Sims and Cari Lekebusch, those sounds became a staple for those in the know. 2014 saw his proprietor run label Shiki Kyokai kick into gear with a number of EPs, ruthless, iron-willed techno for the small hours, and a recent addition alongside Tensal, Pergo and Eduardo de la Calle has renewed his star for 2025 as well. Pluralistic and shrewd in their vision, his vaulting basslines flutter headlong into surging incarnations of the same wind he’s been riding since before the new millennium. With a spate of recent interest in the minimal styles of his starting decade, his work has found a new resonance among fans both at home and abroad. DJ Shufflemaster and his techno are keeping on rolling to the rhythm of his breakneck sounds. For its next release, Second Sight sees label founder Pablo Bozzi in collaboration with
vocalist Alison under the pseudonym Lexi L'Acqua, presenting a two-track EP that fuses the pulse of 90s house, the euphoria of 00s dance, and the sun–drenched spirit of Ibiza. A statement of intent for the year ahead.

Opening track “Higher” is a full-scale piano house anthem. Driving grooves and uplifting chords are elevated by Alison’s soaring vocal lines, turning the cut into a celebration built for the heights of the dancefloor. Bold and euphoric, it captures the essence of classic house while staying true to Bozzi’s forward-thinking production language.

In contrast, “Real Life” unveils a more introspective side. Shimmering synths and warm, rolling basslines form a foundation for Alison’s emotive performance, creating a piece that balances nostalgia with intimacy. A reminder of dance music’s ability to connect not only physically, but emotionally. Together, the two tracks highlight Bozzi’s versatility and vision: a producer who continues to bridge heritage and innovation, immediacy and timelessness. With Alison’s voice at the center, the EP resonates as both a reflection and a declaration - an evolution of Second Sight’s sound, and a signal of what lies ahead. In 2026, the EP will also see a
special vinyl release featuring the original tracks alongside two remixes.

Second Sight marks a new phase in Pablo Bozzi’s artistic journey. Both a record label and a series of events, it serves as a platform to spotlight the new generation of talents evolving around him, while also oﬀering a space for experimentation and self-expression.
Inspired by the concept of “second sight”, a form of heightened perception or intuitive vision, the label embraces a unique approach to sound and curation - one that looks beyond trends and surface-level aesthetics. Through his own productions as well as those of his peers, Pablo Bozzi uses Second Sight to explore and reimagine the legacy of electronic music. Rooted in the past, yet deeply future-facing, Second Sight is more than a label - it’s a statement, a feeling, and a lens through which to experience the club diﬀerently.

Mefteh is a Berlin-based DJ and producer originally from Tunisia. His sound fuses raw, timeless, organic, and driving elements into a straight-forward techno experience built for the dance floor. Deeply rooted in the underground scene, he has spent years shaping his craft, delivering sets defined by intensity, precision, and uncompromising energy. As co-founder of the event series Demolate Berlin, Mefteh has played a key role in curating some of the city’s most intense and forward-thinking techno nights.
Since beginning to release his own productions in late 2024, his music has quickly gained the attention of established labels, resulting in releases on Different Sound, HEISSS, Canticle Records, BCCO, and more.
