For the 18th session of Tensione, we present the first of three podcasts curated by Aum Recordings.

This time, our special guest is MTRZ, invited by the Japanese label Aum Recordings.

Founder and manager of T&NE RECORDS, MTRZ has been deeply passionate about electronic music for over 10 years. He started as a club DJ before gradually moving into the more underground side of the genre: techno.

Today, he is also a music producer, crafting a unique sound that blends tribal rhythms, Old School and New School influences, always maintaining a strong groove. Inspired by 90s techno, he skillfully merges classic elements with modern innovations, creating a sound that captivates his audience.

Last summer, he delved into UK electro, which led to a signing with Laurent Garnier’s legendary label, COD3 QR.

Since 2024, MTRZ has been consistently releasing music on renowned labels such as Numerus Records, ALU RSA, Aum Recordings, Radiance, Cumulonimbus Berlin, Aura Tribale, Death Bell Records, Rebell Union, and many more.

Looking ahead, 2025 is set to be a big year, with upcoming releases on XELIMA, Algumritmo, Bronx Sector, Trau-Ma, and more.

Modular Side Music welcomes Jacom (@user-983038554). We met briefly last year, and although our paths had only just crossed, the synergy was obvious. I knew then, I wanted to release his music on MSMU. Here's one of his most personal and powerful works yet.

Analytical Convenience presents Aäg - Bewitched EP.

We continue our journey with another in-house EP by Aäg, bringing us a droney and immersive work. Bewitched EP unfolds as a dance of raw frequencies, building a ritualistic atmosphere where sound itself takes the role of the shaman.

The mood turns calmer yet more introspective. Layered basslines and spoken fragments draw the listener into a meditative state, opening a path toward the darker corners of the mind.

To complete the release, three remixers reshape this vision for the dancefloor. Floating Machine delivers his signature deep and powerful take on “Momento.” MGR96 follows with a reimagined version of the same track, stripping it down into a minimal yet groove-driven trip. Closing the EP, HYOS bends “Stuporous Catatonia” into a fast, cavernous, and textured gallop.
