It is my great pleasure to announce the 15th episode of Nachtblumen courtesy of Hüseyin Evirgen also known as Magna Pia. He is one half of Cassegrain, and is working on his own solo material as Magna Pia since 2016.

He studied composition, piano and electronic music at the University of Istanbul and Mozarteum Salzburg. He has composed music for theatre, dance performances and mixed media for almost two decades. 

As Magna Pia, Hüseyin Evirgen focuses on providing combative dance floor trips and unorthodox sonic moods with subtle 90s techno references while he keeps his interest in combining contemporary techno music with archaic symbolism. His solo releases include EPs on Soma Records, his debut album on Feral Note and his solo release on Arcing Seas.

In his set for Nachtblumen, Hüseyin delivers a very dynamic and diverse story, in which one can clearly hear how perfectly in control he is of every element. This hour is a great representation of what I love about the sound of Magna Pia – it’s deep, dark, emotional, driving and it can hypnotise you into a relentless state of dancing for your mind and body. Vinyl and its sound have always been the love of the Wroclaw artist Aksamit. In her compositions, you can find hypnotic sounds of ambient, deep techno and tribal.

A Wrocław DJ, a resident at Ciało, a founder of Affekt and Velvet Vortex, is definitely rising talent in the polish techno scene. Her love of vinyl led her to the Berlin club Tresor, in which she played during the iconic Klubnacht & All You Need Is Ears.

Currently, she has performed in most Polish clubs and festivals - Wisłoujście, Revive, Instytut, LAS Festival, Kaskada Festival and Audioriver Festival. She has also performed outside of Poland - Germany, Spain, Andorra, Denmark, Ireland and the UK. She recently won the Polish Club Stage award in the Munoludy plebiscite in the Discovery of the Year 2018 category.

This week, our biggest love and thanks go to Jonas Wernicke aka Kontinum for investing his love and energy into this epic journey recorded especially for us.

Jonas’ Kontinum project (Institut fuer Zukunft, Nebula, The Gods Planet) launched in 2016, focusing on the more atmospheric realms of techno, growing to encompass ambient, deep techno and more modern club-orientated techno you hear here. Jonas and two friends founded the Nebula Kollektiv in 2017, today at the heart of the Leipzig club scene, and he joined the much loved Institut fuer Zukunft roster of residents in 2021.

Latmos is a Finnish Techno producer, DJ and live artist known from his handcrafted and hypnotic tracks. 
All of his music is made live with hardware only. He first drew attention in the Techno community with his strong debut 12” Pool of Intuition EP, released on Samuli Kemppi’s and Frederik Hatsav’s label Blacklabel Distillery. Ever since Latmos has released music on labels such as Subosc, Cinus and Fur:ther Sessions. His music has been supported around the globe by well respected DJs like: Oscar Mulero, Patrik Skoog, Dimi Angelis, P.E.A.R.L, Takaaki Itoh Mike Parker, Samuli Kemppi, Juho Kusti, Denise Rabe, Magna Pia, Dino Sabatini, Deepbass, Blazej Malinowski and Vincent Neumann to name a few.
Latmos is known from his adventurous style as a DJ. He is able to transition effortlessly from a different mood or tempo to another and keep the listeners always on their toes.
