North London producer @rumu returns to Scuffed Recordings with his Wightman Wibble EP, embracing a glut of influences from the city’s club heritage.

The Wightman Wibble EP delves into rumu’s musical upbringing and heritage and explores a world of contrasts - with stillness building to explosive energy and floating euphoria giving way to murky grooves.

Finishing up the EP is ‘Ravanne’, which sees rumu take influence from his Mauritian heritage, with instrumentation and samples sourced from the island of Mauritius. The Ravanne is a rhythmic percussive instrument used in Sega music, which rumu samples throughout the track and channels through his love of UK bass genres.

@goodmostlybad brings three new chugging, bass-heavy tracks to Scuffed on her Shawty 3.0 EP. 

Since debuting the alias in 2020, Indian-born, Qatar-based artist GoodMostlyBad has been honing her craft both as a producer - with tracks appearing on compilations from Daytimers, Earful of Wax, and Reel Long Overdub, alongside a string of self-released projects - and as a DJ, guesting on Rinse FM, Balamii and Reprezent, as well as hosting her own residency on New Delhi’s Boxout FM. 

Citing hip hop, Afrobeats, dancehall and grime as major influences, GoodMostlyBad’s sound eschews definition but pulls from an array of contemporary club genres to create throbbing grooves and dark, intense atmospheres. 

On the Shawty 3.0 EP, GoodMostlyBad further develops the sound she has been nurturing over the past few years, with three tracks that are as ready for headphone sessions as they are for chugging club sets.
