Of Tree is an alt-folk band created by husband and wife duo,
Benjamin and Laurel Parks. Always drawn to creative pursuits in
their own rites – Benjamin as a widely celebrated painter; Laurel
as a classically trained violinist turned fiddler – they've found
the most potent magic arises when they fuse together musically as
Of Tree. Their music draws from each of their individual life
experiences having to do with themes of loss, wandering, and
spirituality. His dark and moody vocal timbre (reminiscent of Cat
Stevens) contrasts her haunting soprano (think Lana Del Rey). “What
emerges from the ambient synthesized soundscapes is not unlike a
fairy tale - one that is soothing upon first listen but beckons one
to go deeper where unexpected things are found in dark corners.”

Following the July 2017 release of their EP “Sorry, We're Chosen”
will be the Fall 2018 release of their first full length album
entitled “How Does It Feel?,”recorded at Shadow Scape Records in 

Kansas City, Missouri. The album goes deep – at times, dark, 

but also aims to elevate the spirit. “Their music has a way of turning

The record takes many unexpected twists and turns with each song an
offering of a unique blend of their influences: the intimate,
hushed sounds of Bill Callahan, the off-kilter, quirky melodies of
Faun Fables, ayahuasca icaros and Celtic-American fiddle music.
