Fierce is an absolute beast behind the decks and he's finally coming to Bulgaria this Saturday, the 12th of October at the Bunker club to celebrate 25 years of Cause4Concern! Danny will be doing a 90 minute vinyl set and I can't wait to experience it! That's why I decided to dedicate episode #19 of the All About The Music show to Fierce, his label Quarantine and also to C4C. Rest in peace Ed Optiv. Fierce has been an important figure in drum & bass for a long time. First starting out on No U-Turn in the mid '90s, he's gone on to properly earn his stripes, gracing respected labels like Prototype, Virus, Metalheadz and many more whilst setting up his own imprint Quarantine along the way. Respected highly in the scene and considered a "DJ's DJ", Fierce strongly upholds a quality over quantity approach, embodying the phrase 'true to the craft'.

As always I tried to keep the mix interesting and ended up with 43 tracks from 43 different releases spanning from 1997 to 2016. Expect to hear a lot of music released on Quarantine, many tracks by C4C & Optiv and of course a ton by Fierce and all the projects he's been involved in including Fortran, Infinite and Drum Kru, as well as all of his collabs with artists like Break, Nico, Zero T, Matrix, Ed Rush, Optical etc.

Episode #28 is dedicated to Dominick Martin aka Calibre's very own Signature recordings. The label was established in 2003 and in it's catalogue you can see over 30 singles, a few 2x12" EPs and 20 LPs by the man himself. Other than that the music man has over a 100 other releases on some of the most respected labels in the game as well as 5 other albums - the debut LP "Musique Concrete" that came out in 2001 on Fabio's Creative Source, the "Grow" and "Double Bend" LPs on Craig Richards' "The Nothing Special", the "4AM" LP on Doc Scott's 31 Records and also "The Eleventh Hour" LP as MISTiCAL alongside Marcus Intalex & ST. Files, which came out on Soul:r.

Calibre is one of the most prolific and respected artist in the genre and also one of my all time favourites. In November 2009 I went hitchhiking ~430 km to see him play. I'm still looking fwd to our second meeting when hopefully he'll sign some of his records that I bought over the years. ❤ Happy to say that I have 91 of his releases in my collection (34 of which are on Signature), so for this mix I picked some of my favourite tracks that I have from the label while trying to represent all the different styles of music that Dom has been creating. Everything from the deep garage bits, the Dominick Martin material, the soulful and jazzy liquid, through the funky and dubby steppers, all the way to the dark rollers. Much love and respect to Calibre, DRS and the whole Signature crew! Enjoy and thanks for listening.

Zunami is a side of Matteo Taurino. Artist, musician producer and DJ born and raised in Salento, Soth Italy. His show is a wild ride through the beats that define his vibe, bouncing from electronic grooves to dub moods and cheeky offbeat rhythms, all layered with bass-heavy energy, skittering patterns, and an irresistible underground pulse. Recent highlights include a three-year residency at Turin Pride from 2022 to 2024, consistently delivering high-energy DJ sets that have become a staple of the event. In 2024 and 2025, he performed in Copenhagen for the Panzerot Pop-Up showcase, and in summer 2025 he joined a side event of the Natural Roots Festival in Salento (Lecce). Alongside these key appearances, he’s played numerous DJ sets and shows across Italy and Europe, continuously pushing his unique style and sound. Ivy Lab was formed around 2012 initially by Sabre, Stray & Halogenix. After a couple of years together and a ton of success Halogenix decided to step aside from the project and focus on his own production, which gave Sabre and Stray the total freedom to go wild and experiment even further. 20/20 London recordings was established in 2015 and over the last decade they have over 70 releases under their belt, including many singles, EPs, compilations and artist LPs. The label is still one of the most interesting things to happen in contemporary club music as they put out literally everything from halftime drum & bass and jungle, through UK garage and breaks all the way to dubstep & grime.

I shamelessly have to say that this is one of my finest sets since I started DJing in 2012 and I love it to bits. One hell of a journey through the 20/20 catalogue that has everything starting from 130, through 140, going all the way to 170. Much love & respect to Ivy Lab and the whole 20/20 gang.
