Lot of people have mentioned how this sounds like a fansong, and honestly I feel like a majority of Deltarune Chapter 4's soundtrack... sounds a lot more like fan music. Don't get me wrong, it sounds amazing, but god the SGM Power Kit is used so much there it honestly sounds like someone discovered Toby likes using it a lot and decided "Well I'm gonna use this to mimic his style" and proceeds to make 99% of their fan music use it.

honestly, the music slaps a lot, I understand people not liking how blatant the Bonetrousling is but low-key if this was the definitive use of the motif that would be awesome

See, this part is actually really good. I feel like THIS could've been the way Toby hid Bonetrousle into the song without blatantly adding in the first notes of the song.

i think this is a small, insignificant reference in the grand scheme of things. you can dislike the song all you want but it's been made clear that everyone on board would have used fake orchestra had they been able to, and that the soundtrack being updated felt as bad to toby as it does to us. plus it's just. one song. you can mute the audio for this specific battle if you can't handle it. or play the original game.

In MY PERSONAL OPINION… I kinda like this more than Fake Orchestra—Bonetrousle aside. Then again, it could be me usually preferring something melodic over atmospheric
