Say What? is happy to welcome the new collaborative EP from Spanish/Chilean techno craftsmen Under The FX and JFERNANDEZ. Fusing precision-engineered grooves with emotional depth, the duo dives into the disorienting and fascinating world of time perception through hypnotic, rolling techno.

Opening the EP with elegant chaos, 'Desfase Circular' plays with looping sequences and subtly shifting percussion that evolve in a spiralling motion. Syncopated low-end patterns pull the listener in while atmospheric elements swell and retract like tidal waves of tension. It’s a circular rhythm that never quite returns to the same place.

A mechanical heart beats off-kilter in 'Pulso Desviado'. Clock-like clicks, rolling sub-bass, and warped synth stabs generate a hypnotic drive that feels both relentless and unstable. The groove continuously deviates from expected patterns, creating a sense of temporal distortion—like a second hand skipping beats in a dream..

The third track on the release 'Reloj Interno' explores the body’s own rhythm. Here, organic percussion interlocks with warm, rolling bass and subtle modular tones. The groove feels intimate and alive—almost biological. Pulses echo like a heartbeat, gradually layered with evolving synth textures that mirror the shifts of day and night. It’s a track that breathes, grounded in groove but aimed toward inner exploration.

Closing the EP on a deeper, more meditative note, 'Tiempo Suspendido' suspends time itself. Space opens up between the kick and the rhythmic elements, allowing haunting pads and ghostly effects to drift in like forgotten memories. The track moves slowly yet purposefully, capturing that strange sensation when moments feel stretched—when time no longer feels like a straight line. Perfect for closing sets or introspective home listening.

We recruited Chicago Loop for remix duties. His version of Mindweave adds an immersive synth sequence and a groove that reminds us of the late 90s. Great Package!

Say What? returns with Dani Sbert and Mr Coalman bringing Aluvion EP — a fierce four-tracker fusing raw energy, mechanical drive, and hypnotic grit in equal measure.

First off is Dani Sbert’s 'Aluvion' opens the release with a relentless pulse: pounding low-end pressure, modular undertones, and an industrial edge that captures the tension of a warehouse at full tilt. It’s stripped-down yet massive — a pure tool designed to ignite late-night floors.

Next up is Mr Coalman’s remix of 'Aluvion' twists the original into darker, dust-coated territory. Gritty textures, distorted percussion, and a brooding sense of motion create a raw, analog-heavy reinterpretation that feels both primal and forward-thinking.

The third track on the release is Mr Coalman’s 'Ash and Stone' and dives deep into a murky, hypnotic groove — where smoldering atmospheres and broken metallic hits fuse into a pressure-cooker of tension and groove. It’s a track that breathes, evolves, and burns slow.

The last track on the Ep is Dani Sbert’s remix of 'Ash and Stone' and closes it with precision and power, reshaping the Original into a high-impact floor weapon. Razor-sharp hats and a thunderous kick carve through layers of smoke and delayed synth layers, reaffirming both producers’ command of raw, unfiltered techno.

It’s half eight on Saturday night at Pukkelpop and one of Belgium’s most exciting new bands, Faces On TV, have just finished their triumphant set. As the audience files out in search of the next, next big thing, one person remains, eyes closed, listening to music that only he can hear. That person is Belgian producer Aerial and running through his head at 125bpm is a radical reworking of Faces on TV’s final song ‘Love/Dead’.

And in his head is where it would have remained if young producer hadn’t found himself 2 hours later standing at a bar next to Faces on TV’s frontman Jasper Maekelberg. Buoyed by Belgian beer Aerial proceeded to sing/shout his ‘remix’ at the increasingly bemused Maekelberg, who probably more out of a desire to get away than anything else agreed to send him the parts to the track.

Fast forward a month and one of Aerial’s DJ friends is booked to play before OFF Recordings’ Andre Crom. For his final track he cues up the, just finished that day, remix and hits play. Five minutes of driving Tech-House rhythms, rattling percussion, acidic squelches and disembodied vocals later OFF Recordings have their next single and Aerial’s career has just taken off.
