داستان از این قراره که مادری هفت پسر داشته که به جز کوچیکه همشون صاحب زن و بچه بودند و از قضا پسر کوچیکه عاشق دختر خاله اش میشه، کارای عروسی انجام میشه و شب عروسی خبر میاد که جنگ شده!! 

هفت تا پسر سوار اسب  میشن و میرن به جنگ دشمن! مادر که دلش تاب دوری پسرا رو نداره واسه اینکه سالم برگردند نذر میکنه که برای قربونی جان یکی از عزیزانش رو بده !!

 جنگ تموم میشه و خبر میدن که پسرات به سلامت دارن بر میگردند و مادر مجبور میشه که نذرش رو ادا کنه!

 میگرده بین خانواده اش می بینه که به جز عروس کوچک همه بچه دارند!!! شب به عروس کوچک نذرش رو میگه و اونم که قلب مهربون و عاشقی داشت قبول می کنه ! و قربونی میشه!! 

وقتی هفت برادر برمیگردند همه زنها میرن به استقبال مردانشون اما از عروس کوچک خبری نبود! 
وقتی جریان رو به همسرش میگویند از ناکامی عشقش مجنون میشه و میره تو کوه و کمر و این ترانه رو میخونه...
