Amidst these explorations, we wove together enchanting moments that encapsulated the essence of extraordinary locales, and we chose to immortalize them within the grooves of a 12-inch vinyl.  One of the gems adorning the EP is a special collaboration with one piece with VIL and another one with Cravo, 2 special artists with mastery in crafting rhythms and grooves we deeply admire. United in creativity, we birthed a composition that speak about the 3 projects and styles.”

Abstraction is an undeground techno label from Cuba that has been releasing quality music since 2017, listing tracks and remixes by Bas Mooy, Arnaud Le Texier, Temudo, Vegim and many more.

CMRK has exclusively appeared on Smashead Records also known as SMSH until now, and and the Lithuanian talent has put together a collection of five new original works on his new and debut EP for Abstraction.

For this DT:Premiere we selected "Bonfire Torture" which begins with a pumping and vigorous energy. Frantic clap patterns and tribal hits are met with a rising siren-like synth that becomes the hypnotic draw, fading down and becoming more prominent in cyclical waves for a raw, percussive workout.

His tracks blend super groovy drum tracks with atonal and seemingly hollow elements – all crafted into masterful arrangements. The sparse, yet repetitive use of vocals grounds the pieces, making them accessible not just to enthusiasts but to a wider audience.

‘Planned Obsolescence’ was played by many djs that I didn’t think liked my sound at all, so that was a good surprise, while doing this release I thought right away to some remixes, things that I never do for some reason. But this was the right time to take this approach, I chose 3 Artists that I think define this era of techno, Functional Techno to be precise, I respect them a lot, I grow with them, and I spend time with them too, and see them taking over the scene that counts make me happy, I always thought they would go far, and I wasn’t wrong. This isn’t just a “pack of remixes” but something that means a lot to me, growing with the artists is key for me on the label - those names are 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗲 + 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁 + 𝗢𝗙𝗙 \ 𝗚𝗥𝗜𝗗.I hope you enjoy their work, I think it is stunning how they took all my sounds and made tactical bangers.
