Bosnian techno ambassador Mladen Tomic returns to SCI+TEC with the much anticipated follow up to his Dance Of Shadows EP that won him much critical acclaim in 2013. His tribal infused tech house continues to win over the world’s dancefloors and on the release front 2014 has already been an impressively busy year with his music featuring on KD Music, Suara, Stereo Productions and his own imprint Night Light Records.

Never one for letting the dancefloor rest, Tomic delivers hypnotic, relentless grooves and blistering beats, and does so once again on his latest SCI+TEC release, Solar Wind. Four perfectly primed tech weapons backed, as always, by a selection of essential DJ Tools, for those that like to get busy.

According to Paul Strive's 2013 release… 'People Want Techno'. Indeed they do, as was proved by the response to his strong SCI+TEC debut. The talented, dynamic and energetic young DJ/Producer is known to be equally at home turning out tough and chunky mainroom house as he is delving into the darker realms of techno and having taken huge inspiration from label boss Dubfire, the Hungarian realised a personal dream with his first release on the label. Today he returns with his latest work the Rules EP. 

His latest double-header sees Strive delving deeper into the minimal, stripped techno sound. Revenge plays heavily on its spooky groove and twisted echo vocal stabs while Rules, on the flip, maintains the ominous atmosphere adding muscle with its fierce creeping synth lines.

SCI+TEC welcomes another label debutant and rising talent of the Canadian underground, Johnny Trika, to the family. Fresh, is probably the best word to describe the Montreal native, for it was only in 2011 that he was first introduced to the minimal style and sound of the Techno that he's come to love with such passion. 

Fresh, not just because the 'Main Squeeze' EP is his first ever release, but also because he adds what he describes as his very own 'spices' to the broad minimal genre. All three tracks on the Main Squeeze ep are perfectly seasoned with each providing a most welcome kick for your techno tastebuds.

This Thanksgiving we're thankful for Marc Houle﻿! It's our supreme pleasure to share with you this ultimate Throwback Thursday set from Marc Houle at our 1 Year Anniversary Festival. His 3 hour live techno set is still to this day one of the best sets we've ever heard in our lives. He harnessed the Desert Hearts vibe as soon as he entered the gates and then completely annihilated the dance floor like nothing we've ever seen before. This was probably the hardest we've ever danced in our lives. 

After his set when it was time to take Marc to his hotel, he thoroughly declined and said he'd rather sleep in the back of a friends car for the next two days because there was no way he was leaving Desert Hearts. Marc, you're a true Desert Hearts legend.
