Big Chief Gerald Paige, of the Masking Indian Tribe "Great Spirit Warriors" Debuts a taste of music from an upcoming musical album release called "Indian Water" and talks a little about the inspiration behind the New Orleans Masking Indian culture, and how its woven with art, music, and the passage of wisdom and tradition from elders down to children.

As this year's Carnival season starts to intensify, we hear from Jimmy Armstrong, Co-Captain and 38th King of the Krewe of Dreux. He is joined by Former King and Captain Dave Jacob, and Claude Bryant for a discussion that covers some of the 47 year history of Gentilly's longest running neighborhood walking krewe. The Krewe of Dreux parades through the streets of Gentilly on the Saturday of Mardi Gras weekend and has since 1972. Everyone is welcome!

We at The Offer Radio Hour have made it our mission to find local organizations and community members who are actively working to make our world a better place to live in, then ensuring them a voice to be heard over the airwaves.  Why, the very call sign of our station is an acronym for "We Honor Independent Voices," and on-air personalities can regularly be heard saying that we are not a radio station with a mission, but a mission with a radio station. In our case, a mission with a radio show, hosted by local musician, actor, and community activist Jamie Bernstein. The Offer airs live every Monday afternoon, from 2-3pm Central, and broadcasts live from WHIV Studios at 2762 Orleans Avenue, New Orleans, LA.
