This Song is a collaboration of Cellz & Charas Lounge with a feature of the Venezuelan Rapper Black Pepper. Charas Lounge laid down a soothing jazz rap instrumental inviting you on a lazy Sunday afternoon walk. The moment you press play you’ll feel like the sun is shining and a beautiful summer breeze is blowing. Cellz added a very soulful chorus with empowering lyrics. This release is a manifestation of his personal believe that he can make it as a musician. He’s telling the audience and himself to have trust and to go big.

The arrangement with all its’ components is surprising and the saxophone solo hits you off guard. Overall, another very chilled release from these three mellow minded musicians releasing out of Munich.

Beginning of 2021 Yogotatara invited us to gather for the opening session of Marc König’s new studio in eastern Berlin. After 2020 was dominated by long and lonely lockdowns, the hunger for an adventure was huge. We took the train to Berlin, helped Marc move all his gear to the new booth and started recording. Three songs evolved into an EP called The Bonzo Session. It’s an Alternative-Hip-Hop and Gospel joint released independently by Cellz. We captured laughing-, chatting- and cheering noise to enhance the sound with some live session vibes. Lyrically the EP reflects on humanity’s current course of destruction of our natural habitat and war. It’s a call for action. “Stop waiting for a miracle!”, “I’m asking you to love me (...) don’t shoot a man to pay your Bill”. Black Pepper, LEN! and Ɔsono, three insanely gifted musicians from Munich who are in their early stages of their solo careers, collaborated as further primary artists. Violist Ruth Mogrovejo who lives in Berlin joined the session and co-composed Miracle!?. Black Pepper and Ruth played in the Venezuelan state orchestra since they where teenagers up until they emigrated to Germany. Cutting-edge jazz percussionist Simon Popp collaborated as session drummer.

Dream On is a collaboration of Munich based Cellz with the Antigua based Blue Glass. RnB downtempo grooves with hypnotic ambience and soulful voices. The music instils in one the feeling of time traveling. While drifting through the dimensions you see utopian and dystopian societies passing by. Blue Glass did all the groundwork on the instrumentals and Cellz added most of toplines and lyrics. With heavy bass riffs, smooth alto saxophone instrumentation and the use of Analog polysynths, “Dream On” encourages the listener to move on from hardships in life with an out of worldly feel to the track. Blue Glass and Cellz both appear as vocalists and instrumentalists on this EP. They also invited professional session musicians such as the Qanun Player Laila Mahmud from Syria and the classical violist Ruth Mogrovejo from Venezuela to collaborate. A belonging EP Film was taken on the roof garden museum “Heaven 7” by Flatz, one of Germanys most famous performance artists.

Cellz x Blue Glass is the result of a collaboration between two exciting and dynamic artists in perfect tune with one another. Cellz hails from Munich, an artist who happily blends genres from jazz to hip-hop and has made his name on the live circuit. Blue Glass hails from the island Antigua in the Caribbean, whose calming wave sounds have influenced Blue Glass’ musical interests, which include trip-hop and psychedelia. 

"I Saw Her On The Beach" is their third collaborative release. They’re aiming to take their influences to a place outside the spectrum, and they’re excited to have their listeners follow them there.
