'Walker & Royce have long conjured excitement with their every move - and their budding label, Rules Don’t Apply, has delivered the same buzz and brilliance. Next Friday, December 17th, the label presents its latest release in its two-track EP series, SPLITS. SPLITS 002 reignites the groovy, club-friendly vibes with charming features from fresh-faced club wizard, Luke Andy, and Canadian nightlife messiahs, Smalltown DJs.

On "Love Drug", Luke Andy invigorates a frisky, fun aesthetic to kick off the EP. Calling on the magic of old-school disco, the track conjures a vivacious melody over a growling bass line. Classic vocals introduce a theme of pondering love, and giving in to the mesmeric power of the music.'

ProotZ - Whip So Cold

When Simenga subbed to Kyle’s Patreon page over a year ago, Kyle knew he was one to keep a beady eye on (not in a creepy, weird way).

Born in Greece and calling Germany his home, Simenga is a wizard of warm drums and a certified wrangler of hefty basslines. Both records on this EP showcase his strengths on both fronts, keeping the energy sky-high while perfectly moulding rolling basslines with industrial percussion, big drums and complex rhythms.

Signing our first external artist to No Context was never going to be easy, but these records from Simenga set the perfect precedent and we’re gassed to have him.

You ever get in trouble from your school teacher and you're forced to apologise but you aren't actually sorry? That exact feeling perfectly encapsulate this release. Is Ocean Roulette actually sorry? I doubt it. We’ve met him and he's not that kinda guy. 

We are SUPER proud to welcome Ocean back onto BOC with his biggest release with us to date! 3 unforgiving hitters straight up built for the dance floor. 

Championing the pack is the headliner 'Sorry About That'. It's like Beethoven took LSD and started banging his head on the piano. On the B-side we have a groove emotive number Lookin At Me. This tune is super unique and we can already feel this one smacking the afters. Finishing off the EP is undoubtedly the secret weapon of the package. Beethoven just got his first synthesiser, tweaked the resonance to eleven and just went ham! 

There's no doubt Ocean Roulette continues to be one to watch, with this EP covering so much ground and energy all in one.
