'Reminiscent' recants a love story from beginning to end--from the wondering when alone to the meeting of a new person...to a love developing and dissolving at the same time...from beginning to end.

Lani's debut album is a small collection of the many songs she has written over the past eight years of songwriting. Since she was 13 years old, Lani has explored and expressed her newfound feelings of love and heartbreak through poetry and song. She hopes to continue releasing her original music and her favorite covers over the next couple of years.

'Velitas' (little candles) is a reference to the Colombian holiday tradition known as "Dia de las Velitas", where neighbors lit up candles to celebrate the start of the Christmas season.

A 2012 bop made in 2019, this song describes the concept of painfully moving forward using the metaphor of swimming through a sea of glass, representing the pieces of a broken heart and drowning. Maybe she'll emerge from the water with scars, but that's what makes her strong.
