Audio Combat Entry - Pebble LoFi

Presenting my official remix for Rudi Wilkin's "Vita". This has been sat in my vaults for a little over a year and I'm so thrilled to be releasing this.

The Mortua project defines some of our darkest thoughts and highlights how vulnerable life can be. It was important to me to not steer too far away from this direction and to maintain what the original project sought out to be. It would feel weird to make an EDM-style banger to such a sensitive topic. That said, I wanted this remix to feel triumphant, and I feel like the second drop of this track celebrates that.

I feel so honoured to share the stage with other, insanely talents individuals who are on the Mortua Remixed EP. I do hope you explore each track and find something you like!

Delving into the old external Hard Drive, I came across a folder filled to the brim of old tracks from 2014/2015 (Near enough when I first started experimenting with electronic music production). I spent hours listening to a lot of the cringe, a lot of the anomalies, and a lot of the hidden gems I forgot I started on. This is one of those gems. This tracks was initially made with old vocal samples on top of the soft instrumental, and came to be from myself experimenting with various plug ins for the first time. Re-visiting this after a large period of ... T I M E, I fell back in love with the idea of what this track was. With my newer style of production, I brought this track back to life. I hope you all enjoy this piece of softness. <3

Sayr is a producer who always makes the most beautiful music that always draws my attention. I had always wanted to put my own flip on one of his pieces.

I wanted it to stay true to the beauty that the original track has, but wanted to add the warmth of the under-towing bass to really bring it to the boil. I had so much fun putting this remix together and it's extremely rare that I put one of my own projects on repeat. But this is something which really elevates me.

So, I'm starting 2021 with this remix. I hope people listen, enjoy it and feel comfort. Blare this as loud as you can with the people you care about. We lost a lot last year, it's time to start rebuilding and picking up the pieces. Stay strong and be kind. We're gonna make it.
