So Good is AMERY's debut single. It's a delicious earworm where he sings his heart out about the tingly feeling that comes with infatuation, his love bursting into a radiant falsetto shining over the chorus. “I want people to get back to that feeling they experienced when they met their first crush or love of their life. I want to bring them back to where it all started”, confides AMERY about the feel-good track co-composed with James and co-written with the producer and Amra Dorjbayar.

Produced and arranged by James Lowland, Amery's new single Never Growing Older is a conversation with himself, debating with his thoughts, his fears and all the society rules that can hypnotize and restrain. It’s about these urges in your head that won’t grow older, no matter what people say: they’re within you because they’re a part of you and they’re here to stay. You should therefore embrace them with love and pride. “This song is about me taking back control after battling with myself, and my fears, for so long. I wrote it while having a rough time trying to figure out who I am, burying and changing some parts of me. I came to the conclusion that I could never change who I am. All the things I have been through, the struggles and the achievements, make me who I am today. I’m that shy, young man who loves a good falsetto, ‘80s funk, pop culture, and androgynous fashion. I’m sensitive and have a strong female energy. I can’t escape these parts of me: they’ll be with me forever. These are not weaknesses but strengths. These don’t make me weird but beautifully unique, Amery insists. Embracing that gives me the confidence I need, which doesn’t always come naturally to me. I hope I can inspire others to not be afraid to be themselves in return and to undergo their own journey of self-acceptance.”

Amery - Never Growing Older

AMERY is a 23-year-old artist seeking to inspire one note at a time.

Bio:
Born to Rwandan parents, the Belgian artist AMERY fell in love with music while discovering Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean video on MTV. His grandma then got the idea to gift him an African drum that ignited a spark in the heart of the little 5-year-old boy. That flame quickly grew into a fire when he brushed the keys of a piano for the very first time at church. Playing the instrument by ear, he immediately felt driven by the notes. 

Breathing music from dawn till dusk, AMERY realised soon enough that he wanted to be heard and gathered his courage to upload a Rihanna cover on Soundcloud which gained many positive reviews, much to his surprise. Learning from the great John Legend, Beyoncé, Stevie Wonder, Usher and the like rather than from sitting in a music academy, AMERY perfected his craft, eventually finding his own voice and sound. Upon graduating from high school, he decided to focus exclusively on music with the full support of his mom who witnessed his dedication throughout the years. Determined to find a home for his talent, he actively reached out to recording studios and production teams before crossing paths with Weird !s Good, where he got a chance to develop as an artist surrounded by a passionate team. 

With more than one string to his bow, the well-rounded performer is aiming to wow you with his difference and hopefully, to put a smile on your face.
