originally, i wrote ‘venus’ in a state of mind full of invincible love heavily weighed down by blockages of insecurity. i felt uneasy to give a portion of myself to someone i deeply care about. i had faced relationships in the past that caused these blockages to build up brick by brick, leaving me blind in a restrictive comfort zone. despite all odds, fate pushed me in a purposeful direction. after recently experiencing heartbreak and loss, ‘venus’ serves as a reminder that my vulnerabilities, insecurities, and anxieties are never too much to bear. they are human. they are not worthy of being dismissed by me nor others. i am not worthy of dismissal. i am worthy of love, respect, and time.

after all, is said and done, this is only the beginning. look out future, i have a lot in store for you!
