For our 20th Guest Mix, we welcome a very special guest and one I’ve been hoping to get on for a while, Mr Jayson Wynters @jwynters

Jayson is a Birmingham based DJ, producer and founder of Cafe Artum @cafeartum a hip cafe x wine bar x record store that first opened in 2018 and was relaunched in late 2020.

Since 2015, Jayson has been making some of the deepest house & techno records and has released 12”s on labels including Mr G’s Phoenix G, Don’t be Afraid, Secretsundaze, Life Notes, Batti Batti, Ornate, Delsin & EON.

Away from the production desk, Jayson is a talented DJ with eclectic taste often spinning funk/soul, jazz, boogie & dub reggae. In recent years he’s made mixes for Stamp Duty, The Vinyl Factory and XLR8R so I’m delighted to have him on our series.

Jayson had this to say about the mix:

“The mix was inspired by some music I have put aside for a while but not managed to piece everything together up until you guys asked. I’m into so many different styles but lately I have been really feeling the Soulful but deep side of house music with huge percussive elements so this mix has mostly contents of that ilk.”
