Unmatched energy and atmospheres thicker than a bog swamp define this release, as it ramps up every layer with razor sharp precision: explosive sound design, bubbling subs seeping into every orifice, threatening shuffle patterns, and unexpected blendings all make their presence known. “Devotee” is a searing mutant heater; employing a heady mix of crackling drums, grimy vocals, and hard-edged subs to deliver a jack hammer punch, the relentless vocal delivery keeps the tension levels at maximum.
