The problem is, there's too much awesome DnB music out there and I had to make choices. In the back of my mind, I also wanted lesser known artists and labels to be recognized. Chances are high that your track is listed in one of those ;) Side note: I wouldn't be exaggerating if I would say I have scanned through aprox. 10.000 DnB tracks just to come up with these 8 Reference Class playlists ! Following her successful year of releases on Formation Records in 2021, Azpect is back with a brand-new single ‘Give Me A Sign’ featuring the lovely vocalist Sammie Hall, as well as 2 remixes from the legendary DJSS & Minimal Mastermind Dunk. 

‘Give Me A Sign’ is not one to be ignored. The catchy guitar rift in the intro complimented by the mesmerizing vocals of Sammie Hall, leads us to a hard-hitting drop filled with straight vibes that mutate their way through the duration with various rhythmic progressions and precisely executed FX.

Dunk gives us his take on Azpect & Radio Soap’s ‘Reflections’ with a deeper, darker, rolling sound. The infectious, smooth roller leaves space for the underbelly of the bass, finding a seething low-end turbulence in the sound that's going to hit dancefloors hard across all corners of the scene.

Finally, DJSS dissects the bassline into its component parts to deliver an ever evolving remix of Azpect & Lady MC’s ‘Free Your Mind’. This catchy number begins its life with soft harmonic textures and swirling pads, giving way to a rising bassline and inspiring bars delivered by Lady MC, leaving us with lush ambient vibes, masterfully produced.

Formed in February 2019, Immersed Recordings is a US-based label team that focuses on melodic and progressive house. Immersed has garnered nearly 10 million streams and support of some of the biggest DJs and radio stations such as KissFM UK, SlamFM NL, SiriusXM, Above & Beyond, Nora En Pure, and Lane 8.

In June 2022, Immersed Recordings formed the Immersed Group in order to present the brand new sister label, Suspended Sounds. After the success of GLXY’s remix of ‘Titanica’ on Immersed, the team felt it was a natural idea to expand into the drum ’n’ bass genre. The new label Suspended Sounds will focus on the DNB subgeneres of liquid and melodic dancefloor. I am breathing electronic music since late 70s and that's over 45 years now. From Kraftwerk, Jean Michel Jarre, Mike Oldfield, Depeche Mode, Erasure, Yazoo, Alphaville, Men without Hats, Nitzer Ebb, Die Krupps, Front 242, Anne Clark, Camouflage, Gary Numan, OMD, Apopytygma Berzerk and even the Commodore 64 demo & break dance scene to more contemporary Electronic music artists, I witnessed the evolution of Electronic music, which basically means I am an old fart and consider myself an authority in this music genre 😵 Currently I listen DnB almost exclusively. But I do not like to restrict myself at all, enjoying flavors like Electronica, Trance, Psytrance, Tech House, Dubstep, Deep House, Future Pop, Trap, Techno, UK Bass and of course EBM/Industrial as well.

What you will find in my likes and playlists is the top of the crop in Electronic Music, I will  absolutely not list any bullshit. A track I have not listed might be just that: Bullshit, just mediocre or an artistic gem which I haven't discovered yet.
