In it we have had the great pleasure of having 3 great international artists, leaders in the Drum & Bass scene, such as NICKBEE, BLACK BARREL and CZA, and with 4 of the most representative names of our national scene: DUB ELEMENTS, KURSIVA, IMPAK and SAVE THE RAVE.

Variety of styles and rhythms focused on a single goal: NEUROFUNK. A whole commitment on our part to continue growing little by little and to continue advancing in our purposes.

Der aus Südfrankreich, aus der Nähe von Marseille stammende Charles entdeckte elektronische Musik wie so viele da draußen mit The Prodigy – „The Fat of the Land“. Der Eintritt in die Welt des Trommelbass folgte mit „Driving Insane“ von Black Sun Empire und Aphrodite. In den Zehnerjahren legte er auf einigen Parties auf und mixte hauptsächlich Acid Techno, Jungle, Raggajungle und schließlich auch Drum and Bass. Letzteres wurde ernsthafter, als Chax die Produktionen von Noisia und deren Sounddesign hört, insbesondere in den Tracks „The Tide“ und „Block Control“. Dadurch entschied er sich um 2016 herum dafür, zu produzieren anzufangen und fertigte einige EPs für Black Inferno, Suspect Device, Darkbass und Smackdown. Zu seinem Markenzeichen wurden kraftvolle, in eine dunkle Atmosphäre eingetauchte energetische Beats. Die Troika seiner „Fracture EP“ für uns schlägt in genau diese Kerbe. Deren progressive Tracks lassen jedes Neuroherz höher pochen. Chapeau an den frischgebackenen Familienvater!

Originally from the south of France, near Marseille, Charles discovered electronic music like so many out there with The Prodigy – „The Fat of the Land“. The entry into the world of Drum and Bass followed with „Driving Insane“ by Black Sun Empire and Aphrodite. In the years from 2010 on he started playing at a few parties, mixing mainly Acid Techno, Jungle, Raggajungle and finally Drum and Bass. The latter got more serious when Chax heard Noisia’s productions and sound design, particularly on the tracks „The Tide“ and „Block Control“. So he decided around 2016 to start producing some EPs for Black Inferno, Suspect Device, Darkbass and Smackdown. Powerful, energetic beats immersed in a dark atmosphere became his trademark. The troika of his „Fracture EP“ for us hits exactly this notch. Their progressive tracks make every Neuro heart beat faster. Chapeau to the guy who just became a family man recently!

DOUBLE HELIX makes his IN:DEEP MUSIC debut with his FORESHADOW EP, which brings four further tech focused tracks to the fore from the rising Austrian producer within its sharply focused span. The FORESHADOW EP follows in the wake of recent releases from DOUBLE HELIX across labels including Delta9 Recordings, T3K, and You So Fat & Deep Records, further marking DOUBLE HELIX’s place as a rising artist within the most technical edges of the drum & bass scene.

The FORESHADOW EP is opened by its title track of the same name, which draws on this nomenclature in the creation of a sonic palette that displays DOUBLE HELIX’s abilities with deft restraint, hinting at the unbound of this ability yet to come over the undulations of its low end frequencies. TRASHMAPPER follows next as the first of such unrestrained expressions, diving into a deep staccato bassline set against the syncopated stabs of the track’s funk fueled horns. This theme is then iterated on within the aptly titled EXODD, which snaps with elastic tension between a set of distorted bassline impacts and the brief moments of silence left in the wake of their presence. CRUCIBLE then brings the EP to a close, setting the EP’s shared tonal elements within a massive sonic space evocative of its name, allowing its piercing tonal snares to echo into the distance from the full frontal frenzy of its flurrying drums.

With the FORESHADOW EP, DOUBLE HELIX displays a set of audio sequences intricately bound by their shared sonic character, thus crafting an EP that stands as a single work in addition to a set of four disparate tracks. In doing so, DOUBLE HELIX makes a decisive debut on IN:DEEP MUSIC, which provides a fitting home for a work of such focused intent.
