Not long ago, a somewhat lackluster Olympic games saw a brief window of non-boringness when one of the greatest champions of all time made history. The charismatic Usain Bolt stacked a three-peat on top of another three-peat by winning the same three events in three consecutive games. Some people are hailing him as the greatest athlete of all time (which may be a bit of a stretch), but one thing’s for sure: The Bearded Man was a faster sprinter. In Jamaica, The Bearded Man used to routinely clock sub-18 200s, but no one was there to time him. In fact, he was the inspiration and the reason Mr. Bolt got into running. The two would run out their days until the days ran out, and one day Olympic qualification was upon them. At the crucial last meeting before the decision of who would go, The Bearded Man went to a bar instead. Maybe not one of his brighter moments, but then again, he never really loved running anyways. In the end, he’d always had the ready set, but never had the “Gostan”.
