The eighties birthed a combination of graffiti art, break dancing, rap music, beatboxing, and street fashion to solidify hip-hop as an artistic art form. The era of the iconic Thiller and Michael Jackson’s signature Moonwalk birthed another icon-Fetti.  Fetti is a musical artist who blends witty lyrics, vivid stories, and catchy hooks.  Fetti is a rising star, and possesses the same stage presence and swagger of today’s more familiar artists.  Yet, it is Fetti’s novelty and presence that distinguishes him from his predecessors and peers.  

Born on the Southside of Chicago in 1983, Fetti was the youngest of three sons raised by a single mother.  Fetti would sit in the living room and sift through his mother’s vinyl records. Music was engrained in him as a child. He recounts musical influences like Parliament, James Brown, Bootsie Collins, and the Isley Brothers.  His musical affinity expanded when he listened to The Sugar Hill Gang’s “Rapper’s Delight.” From here he developed his own musical aesthetic listening to N.W.A., Wu-Tang, the Notorious B. I. G., 2Pac, and Jay-Z, among others. As his musical canon expanded, so did his reputation as a fierce freestyle emcee with ferocious punch lines and hot delivery. 

From childhood to manhood, Fetti consistently, paraphrasing the words of the rapper Rakim, moves the crowd. Whether he performed at cafeteria lunch tables, ciphers on the streets of Chicago, or in front of larger audiences, Fetti rocks any venue every time. Crowds are bobbing their heads and reciting his hooks.  Songs like the cool flow of “Toast,” the intricate and Bootsie Collins’ driven “I'd Rather Be With You,” the sultry “Welcome to the Show,” and club tracks like “Twerk Team” take listeners on a journey of life through rhythm.  

Fetti is a lyricist with poise and presence. Fetti continues the tradition of hip-hop lyricism with clear, concise, and profound lyrics. Fetti’s novelty is in his delivery and how he captures life in musical form. Audience members witness his innovation and skill to sustain an art form crippled by repetitious hooks no substance. His skill on the mic commands attention from his audiences. Fetti’s flawless performances are only one level of his artistry. Fetti-a perfectionist behind the scenes- composes his own music, writes his own lyrics, and sustains a rigorous work ethic, yet his talents are illuminated when he does what he does best…move the crowd.
