Lkhn is a Costarican, with Chinese descent, Dj & Producer, born and raised in a small town from Guanacaste called Santa Cruz.

Ever since he was in his mother’s womb, Lkhn has had a passion for music. He has been listening to genres/subgenres such as pop, rock, metal, reggae, dancehall, reggaeton, hip-hop, you name it, he has listened to it, but something about electronic music as a whole just caught his ear.

With big latin influences and a background in percussion, Lkhn always tries to sneak that latin flow and keep percussion interesting in his work.

Lkhn focuses on “Global Bass” such as moombahton, moombahcore, baile funk, afro beat, trap, among others, but always sticks to his roots and spices things up with his latin influences.

Keti Koti (Sranantongo: "the chain is cut" or "the chain is broken" is an annual celebration on 1 July that marks Emancipation Day in Suriname. The day is also known as Maspasi or Prisiri Maspasi, meaning "Emancipation" or "Emancipation Festival".

Keti Koti marks the date when slavery was abolished in Suriname and the Dutch Antilles in 1863. However, enslaved people in Suriname would not be fully free until 1873, after a mandatory 10-year transition period during which time they were required to work on the plantations for minimal pay and with state sanctioned force: if they were discovered outside without a pass, they could be jailed.

After 1873 many slaves left the plantations where they had suffered for several generations, in favor of the city of Paramaribo. The former slave owners were compensated. For the 32,911 released slaves in Suriname, an amount of ƒ 9,867,780.00 (In 2020 about € 250 million) was paid to the owners.

As of 2009 several cities in the Netherlands hosted various activities, making this day a day of national celebration and remembrance throughout the country. The Keti Koti festival marks the date when slavery was abolished in Suriname and the Dutch Antilles in 1863. The festival organisation also aims to pressure the Dutch government for reparations and research. As of 2020, it is still unclear when the first slaves arrived.

Albert grew up with gospel, soul and folk music from his home country Surinam. For Kevin, music has always been a big part of his life, since his father is a well-known Latin artist and his mother a funky soul singer.

With their friendship as a solid base and their interest in music, fashion and art, they decided to join forces. Albert and Kevin grew to be a strong duo with a cross-over sound between pop and electronic music, inspired by their heroes Daft Punk, N*E*R*D and Coldplay.
