LOOK AT ME [part II] was initially penned to be an acoustic ballad version of the hip-hop track Look at Me. However, once listening to the new arrangement, it became clear that the new melody and vibe warranted its own song with new lyrics and a different concept. While the song titles remain the same, the meaning of the these three words placed in the contexts and the soul of each song are quite the opposites: the RnB track Look at Me was a playful, party track following a group of friends as they get ready to hit the city, whereas this new tracks deals with an uncomfortably honest look into a breakup and the events leading up to it.

This track was inspired and is dedicated to all those who take risks to follow their dreams. Whether it is to pursue a career change, start fresh in a whole new city or country, or leaving loved ones behind to take a journey to really find yourself, folks rely on faith and have to sometimes "trust their instincts, close their eyes, and leap". MY SONG encourages the listener to follow their dreams, no matter how hard the choices may seem, and know that they are never along. There are always folks having your back and "singing along with you".
