Psycho reflects my anxiety and stress. The song is unpredictable and unsettling, while at the same time, it is an intense and violent piece. I think that everyone else who deals with anxiety will know what I mean.

You can find sadness in it’s progression, yet the sadness isn’t negative, it’s the kind of sadness you get at the end of a good book, or movie. It marks the end of something great, while leaving the opportunity for something greater. That feeling is intentional, I feel like you can find that same feeling in everything in life that is worth having. The chord progression is supposed to reflect that, which is why I start the song off with the isolated piano, and end the song with that same piano. In the beginning you can hear it being as happy or sad as you feel like it is, and it is the same in the end. The whole song comes around full circle, which is fully intended. It tells its own sad story, but in the end you realize that the end isn’t the end, it’s just the beginning.
