This Much is True

I recorded this mixtape in parts of 2008-2009 and released in 2009. My sound was beginning to take form. Being that I record and mix my own music, this mixtape was a crucial step in developing a radio ready sound. Not many people have heard these songs. Song like "Against The Wall" give a glimpse into how isolated my world was in Fredericksburg, VA. Mostly a few friends and family members even listened to this as I promoted with a couple local performances often times in front as 10-15 people in the audience. in 2010 I took a year dedicated to writing for other artists and producers.  I would go on to write and record "Sophisticated Lady" in 2011 and sign a deal later that year. 2012 the song was re-released to radio and tv peaking at #19 on the Urban AC Billboard Charts and #2 on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 Billboard Chart.
