[Behind The Track]

Welcome to the seventeenth-second release of Launch Records. This time we have a new track by Mike Ocean called ‘Get Back’.

The song starts immediately with some vocal chops with calm chords in the background. After some time the vocal chops disappear and instead of those, a vocal is added. Then when the rhythm of the vocal changes, some piano chords are added. Hereby added a clap and some atmospheric sounds are added. In the background, a subtle baseline is added to give more body to this part. Moments after this a subtle drum loop is added as well which has an uplifting rhythm. Hereby the chords remain the same. This is the build-up of the track, where at the end only the vocal is audible.

When the drop hits, the track is transforming into a powerful Deep House track with some Chill House and Shuffle elements in it. In this drop, you hear at first some clean chords. Those chords are the same as the beginning and build-up of the track. Though these chords have more power in them. Hereby added is a drum loop that has a calm rhythm. The vocal chords act as the melody in this drop and get the main attention. Hereby added are some atmospheric sounds. On top of that, a baseline is added which repeats several times and has an interruption in its rhythm. Hereby all sounds which are used are self-designed.

All these aspects which are used in the track make the track a real Launch release. We are very happy to have a release together with Mike Ocean who has his first official release.
