This is another golden era Benefit track recorded in 1998. This style of writing/rhyming is called Rhymescript. This is an old underground classic that continues to live on. This was never officially released on any project... just leaked online in the late 90's.

This is the Benefit entry to the Napster contest which was hosted by the legendary Chuck D of Public Enemy. Over 800 emcees wrote and recorded song submissions in support of Napster. The listeners voted to pick the winner and Benefit won the contest and the grand prize.

Story track about a neglected kid who listens to weak corporate music on the radio because he doesn't know any better, and then his friend puts him on to underground music and explains why he loves his favorite underground artist. It's a story track about how the truth, through underground music, spreads by word of mouth.
