Consisting of University of Florida music students and alumni, this consort was established by co-founders Kyle Cortés and Aaron Mares . Our current production of a ten-song concept album, “Passing Through,” is composed of a collection of various love poems from the perspective of two young men on their romantic relationships over the course of six years. Taking a poly-stylistic approach, this LP explores the developing attitudes of these two individuals as they mature from adolescence into young adulthood. Our covers pull from the genres of Jazz, RnB, and Latin. Additionally the repertoire we promote uniquely incorporates traditional and folkloric music of Latin America, as well as classical music for piano, guitar, and voice, upon request.

 

Maréz is currently based in Gainesville, Florida and is available for private and public events.
