Thankful for whatever muses dropped this one onto my lap. “Last July” was written in my backyard overlooking the Vermont mountain line in early July during a trip home. I had no equipment or gear and made the beat and wrote the song in under 30 minutes. It was coincidentally the limitations that opened the portal.

It’s about summer nostalgia and being 17 and feeling infinite. This photo was taken outside the Ben & Jerry's factory in Vermont in 2014. My hair was jet black and I’d just wrapped the “Gates” tour.
