On this remix NEW_ID have created their take on the classic Axtone house sound delivering with typical aplomb.

Long term super fans of Kraak & Smaak, fellow dutchies NEW_ID were delighted with the opportunity to rework their favourite cut from the former's latest album Chrome Waves.
Practically neighbours to their long time heroes, they all hail from Leiden; also the home of Armin, fact fans!

Stee Downes is a singer with a fantastic history, producing and releasing his own material on Sonar Kollektiv as well as releasing on some of the world finest electronic labels including Get Physical, Crosstown Rebels, 2020 Vision, NeedWant and Exploited. His collaboration with Lovebirds in 2011 "Want You In My Soul" was considered by many to be tune of the year and turned many listeners on to what Stee was capable of.

NEW_ID have set out their stall this year with a string of killer remixes and Originals that have garnered support from the likes of Pete Tong, Sander Van Doorn, and Alesso, both on air and in the clubs and festivals.
The NEW_ID & Axwell remix collaboration on Steve Mac & Mutiny UK ft Nate James 'Feel The Pressure' reached the summit of the Beatport release chart whilst their reprise of the classic 'Thrill Me' by Junior Jack is sure to be a festival mainstay for many years to come.

Kraak & Smaak will be touring Chrome Waves throughout the summer ahead of a Chrome Waves remixed album release.

Having been tipped by Dancing Astronaut as one of Summer 2014’s Top Breakthrough artists NEW_ID are plowing their own path in the dance music sphere, displaying the quality that attracted them to Axwell’s Axtone imprint.

‘Tear It Down’ was written and recorded in the depths of the London winter earlier this year with long­time collaborator Styalz Fuego (Won’t Get Lost, Thomas Gold ‘Remember’) and Ivor Novello award­winning, Golden Globe and Grammy­nominated Amanda Ghost (Florence & The Machine, Beyoncé, Scissor Sisters).

On this remix, NEW_ID have taken 'Tear It Down' from a feel­good house jam, into a sublime slice of peak time house music. Retaining the soulful vocals in their entirety, ‘Tear It Down’ has a magic that’s been in short supply on the main­stages of late but this will be welcomed with open arms.

Having been a mainstay in Axwell Λ Ingrosso’s sets this year, this peak time instrumental signifies yet another chapter in the NEW_ID story.

Following their legally imposed hiatus, NEW_ID firmly established themselves in clubland, collecting 3 Beatport Progressive House Top 10s along with a Beatport Release No.2.

Kicking off 2014 with their Axwell remix collaboration ‘Feel The Pressure’, NEW_ID then took on Junior Jack’s stonewall classic ‘Thrill Me’ adding their trademark train house touch.

The summer season saw an Axtone remix double­header with Kraak & Smaak’s ‘How We Gonna Stop The Time’ (7 Pete Tong radio spins & counting), swiftly followed by ‘Tear It Down’ that became a staple in Avicii’s sets.

Dropping in for the closing parties, their remix of Francesco Rossi’s haunting ‘Godspeed You’ debuted during their 1st of 2 shows at Departures, Ushuaia in Ibiza, garnering further support from the likes of Tiesto & Steve Angello.

Fresh from their Australia tour where they spent studio time with no less than: The Aston Shuffle, Kaelyn Behr, Moses York, Ivan Gough, Jebu & Rudy, the boys have also been working on a collab with "Groove Cartel’s" Tom Staar.
