What It Is

Born Paul Gabriel Green in Youngstown, OH, PG is a phenomenal rapper, singer, songwriter, and composer. As the child of a drummer and an opera singer/playwright/dancer, he and his siblings grew up around music and the arts. His talent manifested at the age of 11 when he wrote his first rhyme. He then teamed up with his older brother Michael (Myke Groov) and their best friend Jason Walker (DJ WALK) to form Verses, and were performing in talent shows and even churches around the city. As a student at Woodrow Wilson High School in Youngstown, he played football, basketball, and was a member of the Vocal Ensemble, where he found his other passion....singing. He earned numerous superior ratings for his work in solo and group competition, all while still ripping stages and open mics across the city. Even though he could sing, he was still known as a ferocious battle MC who was beating opponents almost twice his age. After grauduation he went to Youngstown State University to study telecommunications. He had dreams of a career in broadcasting if music didnt pan out. There he became one of the oringinal members of the YSU Gospel Choir. As a lead singer in the choir many doors opened for him to work with different independent artists. By 2004, he had been featured on many independent albums either singing or rapping and was performing with 4 different gospel groups. The following year he released his first solo album Blade Of Gabriel, which sold over 8,000 units around the Midwest.....without the help of radio or the internet. In 2006 he relocated to Atlanta, GA where he further stepped up his game. He and Myke renamed their group Green Dynasty and proceeded to lay the foundation for an empire. In late 2010 they released their first mixtape Winners Circle, which earned rave reviews and was featured on Datpiff.com. They dropped their second mixtape, the critically acclaimed Winners Circle 2: 8 bit, eight months later. PG also hosted his first benefit event, Green Dynasty Weekend, in his hometown of Youngstown, OH. They had a scholarship benefit concert in honor of his late father, Michael Green, Sr. and an album release concert for the group's album Rough Draft. Guests included Willie Norwood (Brandy & Ray J's dad) Rufus Blaq and Derek Dixie. As a production team PG and his brother have worked with artists such as Jason Derulo, Rufus Blaq, Speech (Arrested Development), Pryslezz, and many others. PG is working on his new album, Weekend Radio, which is destined to make an impact on multiple genres. Keep your eye on the charts!!!!
