HALF BLOOD was never the album I expected to write. I was in the process of writing the album I thought others wanted from me, but nothing felt genuine. So this kinda started out as a sidequest - my attempt at taking established tropes of UK Bass music and spray painting them with my signature colorful sound design. But it became so much more. This record became a catalyst for rediscovering the roots of the genre. An ode to my heritage, both as a dual citizen of the US and UK and an electronic music fan at large. My bridge between the sounds and aesthetics of New York and London. Most importantly, a diary documenting the mistakes and growing pains of learning to become my most authentic self. I believe this to be my maturest body of work yet and I’m ecstatic to share this with the world.

djeb and I first met over four years ago in this weird quasi-mythical place called Loudness Refuge. We became friends almost instantly and, since then, we have been around each other's music and art, have traveled to different countries together, and even worked together alongside other people on songs like Dubstep 2 - Emotional clap or SHADOW GOVERNMENT INC - CLEAN JOBS. Despite this, we never formally collabed, until now. I'm super happy to put this one out because it both sounds awesome and oozes both of our personalities at the same time.

Void+1 Industries is not predicting the future. They already did that. They're now building the broadcast-towers for after the blackout.
This is an EP with no clear evolutionary lineage. Void+1 have put their marker on it, sure, "V+1022D". Sounds official, like a sealed file in a cabinet somewhere off-grid. But here's the problem; there's no cabinet for it.
Its DNA has been spliced too many times to count: techno wired to breakbeat’s synapses, low-end pressure that recalls bass music shot through electro's cold, sharp edges. It sounds like the future envisioned through a cracked kaleidoscope. It doesn’t fit anything (yet), but it occupies everything.
The word is that the chief scientist had to summon assistance from "beyond" to tame the subharmonic tectonics shaped by the pressure and conflict of these tracks in order to make them safe for consumption.
Liza Aikin & Monolog are not only presenting you with their most cutting-edge creations yet... There is a message here. Are you ready to decipher it?

‘Spittor’s Dream Malfunction’ was meant to be posted later this year as an archival piece, something to reminisce and reflect on when I was a younger music producer. More often than not, I include original upload dates to these older songs of mine, adding to the appreciation of my ever-adapting progress back then.

Unfortunately, this was not the case. Due to an accidental public upload from earlier today, I have lost data of when I first published this song as private a couple of years ago. It was a pity to lost that process, but the least I could say is that the song was finalised and exported on the 4th of February, 2020. The said export date has been written in the credits, even though it’s not the true release date.

However, the original description I wrote at the time remained intact. You can take a read below.

"In a record of a week (By early February 2020), I've literally made a track out of an episode from Extreme Dinosaurs. Well, most of it. Representing the personality of a smart yet devilish Raptor simply known as... Spittor.

A mixture of dark, sap, humor, Ableton, and bits of melodic flavors in the end, just before Spittor goes berserk with those saps in his tanks.

And now onto my long break!"
