Having only released her solo debut on NYC staple Kindergarten Records a year prior, the release of Ayesha’s latest EP ‘Potential Energy’ on UK label Scuffed Recordings has marked the crescendo of a year-long wave of momentum for the artist. Her latest work received critical praise from Mixmag (Best Tracks of the Year 2021), RA (Best New Music), DJ Mag (Fresh Kicks), and the hotly-tipped Lobster Theremin (LT Podcast 176) who join a growing list of international supporters. Coby Sey is a musician, producer and DJ from South East London who offers a shifting, disorienting vision of club music. His distinguished presence in London has elicited a bold impression of his compositions and performances, to much the attention of acclaimed artists and collaborators Tirzah, Mica Levi, Kwes, Babyfather and Klein.

Coby's music – as best evidenced on AD93 and CURL - is reflective of his vast spectrum of influences, yet he remains undeniably uniquely himself; experimenting with live instrumentation and electronic-based productions, melding sounds with introspective lyrics into a dubbed-out anaesthesia. Live, these dreamlike compositions are imbued with a heavy, uneasy dancefloor energy, often abetted by live vocals as well as saxophone interjections c/o regular cohorts Ben Vince and CJ Calderwood.

Coby’s open-door approach to sharing and making music stretches to his work with London collective CURL, founded with Mica Levi and Brother May, who release records and host events with a collaborative, improvisatory approach, as well as a regular slot on NTS which offers a portal into his appealingly murky musical world.

Lukas Wigflex slows it down a notch for Off-Kilter 003 - 100bpm is the new 140.

The head honcho behind Nottingham’s Wigflex parties which have been running for almost 16 years, Lukas has been built a solid reputation as one of the cites finest selectors. From off-grid private parties to the multi-venue Wigflex City Festival, his force is vibrant and unstoppable.

As a DJ, Lukas spans across genres with raucous energy, channelling mind-bending wonky techno with a distinct UK feel. His productions meander tripped out vocals, analog phasing techno and heady basslines, as heard on Me & Meds, his debut collaborative EP with Son of Philip came out on Trouble  Maker last year.

Off-Kilter 003 - Lukas Wigflex

Off-Kilter's latest submission is a mix of original live unheard recordings with unreleased material by Copenhagen-based composer and viola player, Astrid Sonne.

With a background in classical music, Sonne opens up an electronic space to channel different perceptions of sensory and emotional states of being through open, melodic compositions. Balancing contrasts is a reoccurring theme in Sonne's work, where alternation between repetition and renewal is used as a means of expression. Utilising synthesisers, vocals samples, guitars and viola, her music draws on diverse influences from Danish choral tradition to noise.

Her latest album 'outside of your lifetime' was released on Danish label Escho in September 2021, following critically acclaimed previous works Cliodynamics (2019) and Human Lines (2018) (both also on Escho).

Key performances and commissions to date include Berlin Atonal, where she performed new work Ephemeral with a choir; Rewire Festival, who commissioned her to write and perform Cycles of Lost and Found; plus and a set of site specific compositions for the ruins under the Danish Parliament and a stretch of the Copenhagen Metro as part of Strøm Festival.

RHYW steps up for the next instalment of Off-Kilter with a mind-melting mix of stripped back askew rhythms, propulsive bass and leftfield techno.

Like liquid mercury in a petri dish—slick, supple, and playfully disobedient—Rhyw’s music dazzles as it defies expectation. The Welsh-Greek artist cut his teeth as one half of Cassegrain and has been finding new paths for his mutant sound ever since, releasing on Fever AM, the imprint he set up with Mor Elian in 2017, as well as labels like Avian and Modeselektor’s SSPB. 

In the studio or behind the decks, he brilliantly fuses different strains of ultra-modern techno and broken beat: eyes-down minimal lights up with modular sass, choppy kicks flirt with rolling grooves, and sharp sound design slices through earthy subs. It’s the kind of amphibious sound that can slip into otherworldly spaces while never truly leaving the dance floor. 

Rhyw turned heads with the heavyweight two-tracker ‘Biggest Bully’ in 2019, earning himself sets at Berghain, Berlin Atonal, and Boiler Room Tokyo, along with tours in Asia and the US. Online and on-air, he’s guested on Hessle Audio’s Rinse FM show and Mixmag’s ‘In Session’ mix series, and contributed podcasts to Crack and FACT. Even when they leave the gate at full pelt, these sets showcase Rhyw’s subtle sense of intricacy, balancing airy atmospheres against tougher tackle. But whatever the energy level, there’s always an alien presence in Rhyw’s sound—a shapeshifter whose twin motives are to bewitch and disorientate the listener.

Off-Kilter 006 comes hot like summer from Lisbon's Luar Domatrix.

Luar Domatrix is Rudi Brito, a Lisbon-based visual artist and musician who has released a plethora of music under various guises; Yong Yong (allied with Francisco Silva), the multidisciplinary voice of Lord Prince Infinito, his DJ sets as Visitante and his more recent work has Luar Domatrix. After a long season spent in Glasgow, Luar Domatrix released editions by Naivety(Naive’s sublabel of Inês Coutinho aka Violet), Sucata Tapes (Discrepant) and 12th Isle. His more recent work includes two EPs which came out in 2020 - Nova Vida Passada on Domestic Exile and Baía Stamina on Discos Extendes. Both of these records offer a distinctly unique sound. Nova Vida Passada channels pop music reverberating loud in a sci-fi celestial club in the distant future, with similar energies as Equiknoxx, NAAFI, Hakuna Kulala, BFDM and fellow Lisboners Principe. Baía Stamina is a dance record featuring percussive elements and unusual sound effects.

Luar Domatrix shows a clear vision of music in the present tense, yet always with ears set to the future - not the far A.I. kind of future, but one that is very present where the organic and digital cooperate and complement.

Ahead of the first Off-Kilter all night long event in Bristol this Saturday, 007 Off-Kilter submission comes from Netherlands DJ and producer Tala Drum Corps.

Tijmen Lohmeijer aka Tala Drum Crops has many strings to his bow - two killer releases on The Hague based imprint BAKK, the Rites of Harvest show at Stranded FM and his most recent venture into interdisciplinary performance/composition. 

Fusing together elements from the cavernous chambers of wave, experimental techno and leftfield club, the Utrecht based artist intricately weaves oddball rhythms, textures and astray melodies to create his own sonic dialogue.

Off-Kilter 009 comes from Bristol based artist Grove. This collage is a plunge into chaos and calm - sludgy and warped, heavy and disorientating, a soundscape of distorted vocals, industrial percussion and heavyweight bass.

Meddling together elements of punk-infused dancehall, jungle, bass and pop, Grove is a Bristol-based producer and vocalist whose sound is undefined and constantly morphing. Grove's noise concoctions come from the ‘feminine’ and ‘masculine’ energies that reside within, filtering them through a sensuous & rave-a-licious sound. Lyrical subject matters range from the euphoria of queer rave spaces, to the toppling of the Edward Colston statue.

As sharp new voice for 2021, Grove released their debut EP ‘Queer + Black’ in February. ‘Queer + Black’ is an exploration of identity, both personal and political, and a deft combination of sharp hooks and splintering beats beamed in from a club in 3021 AD. This was compounded at the end of 2021 with a collaboration track ‘BBB’ with quickly ascending queer icon Lynks, and another EP ‘SPICE’ with production from members of Giant Swan and YOKEL, connecting the dots between queerness and dancehall music.

‘Queer + Black’ & ‘SPICE’ achieved plaudits including from Resident Advisor, CRACK, Them, The Times, Bandcamp Daily, and ‘Q+B’ was named one of Mixmag’s ‘Best EPs of the Year’. Singles have been championed by Jack Saunders (R1), Jamz Supernova (Radio 1Xtra & 6), KEXP, NTS, & BBC 6 Music (Mary Anne Hobbs/Steve Lamacq)’.

Off-Kilter 010 takes form as an exclusive live recording from Jorg Kuning. Lock in to one hour of his psychedelic, eccentric and unfolding house and techno.

Like so many great artists emanating from the lush Welsh valleys (think Steevio, Leif, Duckett et al) Jorg Kuning creates distinctly pastoral dance music that is in equal parts playful, deep, melodic and eccentric. Through a string of low-key sell-outs on his own Bakk Heia label, the producer has already developed a unique signature sound and a burgeoning cult following to boot, with early adopters including Ben UFO, Call Super and Shanti Celeste.

His recent Chosta-del-sol release on Facta and K-Lone's Wisdom Teeth steps it up a gear - channeling a polyphony of warm pads, warping plucks and oozing modular noise that stretches and sprawls throughout the record.

Jorg is a resident at the Bakk Heia party which happens regularly at Manchester institution The White Hotel.

Artist and composer Martina Lussi delivers the latest OK submission, featuring a swirling array of sonic ambience, previously un-heard original field recordings all tinged with blissful electronics.

Martina released Off-Kilter all time favourite album 'Diffusion Is a Force' on Parisian label Latency (Laurel Halo, Tirzah, Lafawndah, Moor Mother) so it's a great pleasure to welcome her to the platform with this stunning and haunting sound scape.

Martina Lussi creates musical compositions, presents installations and performs live in various contexts. Her artistic practice is based around the act of listening. Her compositions incorporate field recording, synthesized sounds and voice. Through a variety of sonic material she creates broad soundscapes.

Her latest Album „Balance“ was released digitally on September 3, 2021 and on vinyl in May 2022 by Präsens Editionen. 

She holds a Master of Arts in Contemporary Arts Practice and lives and works in Lucerne, Switzerland.

Príncipe affiliated Afrofuturist artist XEXA puts together an astonishing, evocative, transcendental soundscape for Off-Kilter, comprised solely of original unreleased tracks composed, performed & produced in the last year.

XEXA is a multidisciplinary Afrofuturist Portuguese artist with São Tomense ascendance. Her work reflects the exploration of sounds attempting a hybrid of traditional African rhythms with synthesizers, sound design and vocals. A new aesthetic voice in new networks of affiliation, cooperation and solidarity, with a promising future ahead - her debut LP is scheduled for release on Príncipe in the Fall of 2023.

Trouble maker, DJ and producer Adam Curtain joins the Off-Kilter platform with a playful, groovy and melodic mid-tempo acid mix, homage to the Roland TB-303 - it all it's squelchy glory.  From 1990-2015, the chosen tracks in this submission eliminate the chaos and roll the waves.

Adam Curtain is a producer and DJ whose magnetic style drives genre boundaries to the fringes of their existence in UK club music. 

Effortlessly weaving between techno, breakbeat, electro, house, 2-step and tinged with contemporary flavours, his productions shift through various visions of the UK sound. His label Trouble Maker hosts some of his standout EPs - 'Elsitas Dreamland' (TM012)& 'Mr Miyagi' (TM 005).

His most recent voyage with collaborator Ste Roberts takes form as a imprint that will host five releases, the first came out in February this year - (Adam & Steve 01) and has been picked up by Ben UFO, Craig Richards, Shanti Celeste, Saoirse & more. 

Lapse will host his latest EP, which is scheduled to release later this year.

Italian-Ivorian producer and DJ Ehua has been making waves since the release of her 2018 debut EP, ‘Diplozoon’ on Femme Culture. She’s since remixed records for Ninja Tune, played at some of Europe’s most iconic festivals and recently started a residency at Rinse FM, where she explores the percussion-influenced realms of experimental techno each month.

Mirroring his quintessentially Off-Kilter productions, this mix ruptures twisted audio narratives, shredding them to bare bones and stitching them back together again - it's unpredictably adventurous and charged with raw recoveries.

Scaling the liminal nexus of UK club futurism with tempoless inhibitions and adventurous textures in sound, Piezo explores the kinetic infinites of dance music’s vast permutations. 

Luca Mucci's output as Piezo revels in the hi-def synthetics of sound sculpting, pirouetting through off-kilter frameworks of total dance crud in a remarkable multiplicity of psychedelic variations. 

 Cast from the embers of dubstep’s heyday experienced from his native home of Milan, he temporary relocated to Bristol enjoying an immersive spell in the city’s legendary sound system culture and vibrant alternative music community. Releases on British labels Idle Hands, Swamp81 and Facta & K-Lone's Wisdom Teeth followed, plus a turn for Orson's Version imprint based out of Berlin. 

 Ansia was founded by Piezo in the midst of this, a label acting as his creative appendage for wild dancefloor tools by himself and fellow club deviants characterised by a mischievous attitude and wry humour to both composition and sound design. It is currently 6 releases deep, featuring a mix of various artist compilations and solo turns from Luca himself, including his latest EP ‘Odd Hooks’. 

2020 saw the release of Piezo’s debut album ‘Perdu’, his most substantial work to date, on cult Milanese label Hundebiss run by PAN affiliate STILL, while he also collaborated with artist duo Invernomuto on their BlackMed multimedia project. That same year saw Luca become a participant in the SHAPE roster, a Creative Europe-supported platform for innovative music and audiovisual art. 

 Piezo weighs all of these influences and experiences together with a ferocious appetite for perc-y wrigglers in his celebrated DJ sets and mixes. Applying his limitless ideology to open ended dancefloor narratives, he traverses quite wild bpms and styles with a remarkable flair best exemplified in sets at Terraforma Festival and mixes for Dimensions, Animalia and Crack Magazine. 

 Luca plans another solo EP for later in 2023, plus several remixes and V/A contributions along the way to continue a prolific release schedule.

Pletnev is an international DJ and producer whose discography varies from slow industrial big beats to progressive house and techno, with elements of trance and electro. His latest EP "And You Never Come Back’ came out earlier this year on RAND, and features four well-crafted house tunes with a progressive flavour. 

 He has had other releases on labels such as Meda Fury, SZE (Secretsundaze sub-label), Needs, KUMP, and Le Temps Perdu and has had his work remixed by a range of esteemed artists including Ploy, Inga Mauer, Anna Helder and Heap. Later this year Pletnev will drop a breakbeat house and electro EP which will come via London based Linale records.

He is an established international DJ who is a resident at Opium Club in Vilnius and has played across Europe in its best funhouses & festivals: Roxy Club (Paris), Razzmatazz (Bcn), Renate (Berlin), Trans Musicales festival (Rennes) and many others. Alex is also part of a prolific duo with Logeshen Moorgan called Moisk. They have released several solid records for Warning Records, Mana Abundance, I Lost Poncho in Istanbul, and Pleasure Express. The duo has prepared a few cosmic breakbeats and trancey uptempo 4/4 tunes to be released in 2023 via Griffé Records. They are also set to perform at Warning Festival and Modem Festival later this year.

Pavel Milyakov aka Buttechno gives us a peek into his sonic world in the latest submission for OK. Here, we walk with him through expansive ethereal plains, slow, shadowed with dust, in search for light.  Hypnotic, dream-like, subdued ambience melts into overdriven, chopped and screwed vocal manipulations, fragmented rhythms and whispering harmonious layers of sound.

Having achieved certain recognition with his dancefloor-oriented project Buttechno, the Berlin-based artist is currently focused on sonic experiments and artistic collaborations under his birth name. Pavel uses his work as a means to acknowledge the true historic and cultural context, delving into sociopsychological issues that haunt the society, and addressing memory — both collective and individual — and its potential to change our visions of the future. Working in a variety of musical genres he created collaborative works with such artists as Bendik Giske, Alex Zhang Hungtai, Yana Pavlova, Richie Culver, Perila. Pavel also runs and curates the “psy x” record label — a platform for sonic and visual works by like-minded artists, as well as for ‘non-format’ records of his own.

Otherworldly frequencies flutter through fractured rhythms in the latest Off-Kilter submission brought to you by Melbourne’s suki. 

A colourful delve into his creative repertoire ft. all previously unreleased tracks, suki throws us into a mind-melting myriad of house, techno and trance - a kaleidoscopic palette of sound.

This mix consists of 16 previously unreleased tracks, jams and sessions by William Howard aka suki during 2018-2023; between Melbourne, Paris and Berlin. Compiled together in a perhaps incohesive manner, this mix represents the creative journey that the artist experienced over the last 5 years.


With over a decade’s worth of both production & selection, Naarm (Melbourne) electronic music maestro suki (aka Will Howard) maintains an innate desire to achieve mastery within his craft.

Deliberately chosen, Will’s ‘suki’ moniker attests to the love, unity and positive influences that can be attained and shared through music - whether it’s experienced as part of a pumping dancefloor, or
individually via the radio and personal devices . As one of the artists at the forefront of Naarm’s bustling electronic music scene, his multi-faceted musical project has progressively expanded (via his Sniper1,
DJ Huntsman & sgarn monikers) to the delight of both those who know him or have only just discovered him.

Eternally adding to his arsenal of production hardware to go with his experience, he creates dance music that draws heavily on 90’s house, techno, trance and hip-hop sounds, utilising old school drum
machines and other raw elements. Producing music from a young age has given Will a level of experience and ability far beyond that of your typical mid-20s producer and as such, he has already
released on labels such as Holding Hands Records, Aquaregia, Dansu Discs, e1even and Haŵs.

An artist who simply cannot be tied down to a certain style, suki’s expansive repertoire has seen him perform at Australia’s most prominent venues and festivals, but it’s the recognition of his talents
overseas that really validates his pedigree – with his tracks being used in sets all around the world.

With a plethora of releases always on the horizon, suki is showing himself to be one of the scene’s most dedicated contributors.

Known for his trusted label Die Orakel, programming the dancefloor at Offenbach institution Robert Johnson and heading up EOS radio, Oliver Hafenbauer is no stranger to the game. 

For the latest instalment of Off-Kilter, he presents us with an uncompromising mix that spans a multitude of genres; dance music influenced but sitting on the fringes, woven intricately together - dark and suspenseful yet light and hypnotic. Downtempo, house, techno, cosmic and unruly, spiralling sounds and cycles of rhythm overlapping and phasing in time.

Oliver Hafenbauer is an experienced and versatile DJ with a long-standing history of being one of the key figures in the local club scene and beyond. 

Stylistically motivated to what is beat-driven and highly danceable, he has the perfect sensitivity for the contexts he is involved with. Oliver set his priorities differently a while ago when he hung up a potential career in architecture and decided to go for the music after having DJed for years and promoted his party series. Oliver’s steady commitment to Offenbach’s vastly respected venue has brought him wide recognition: For over a decade, he functioned as music director of Robert Johnson and managed the associated label of the same name. Working behind the scenes allows not only different perspectives but enables many alliances. Rather than producing as a strategy, he consequently fosters talent on his imprint Die Orakel, where he releases music positively undetermined between dance and ambient by artists like upsammy, Reptant, or Roman Flügel. 

Oliver has been co-founder of the Frankfurt-based online radio station EOS Radio since 2021. Last but not least, his approach to playing music as a conceptual act within diverse networks of artists and audiences is what makes of him an allrounder of many qualities.

Composer, producer, guitarist and vocalist ML Buch dazzles us with the latest Off-Kilter submission featuring previously unheard, unreleased music and an insight into the gentle makings of her latest album, Suntub. 

A dive into her sonic world and a glimpse of the songwriting processes, this hour long collage meanders through acapella and acoustic versions of existing tracks, sketches, ideas, loops, sound clips and other raw material. 

Blissful intimate pop-tinged electronic soundscapes; playful, glistening harmonies reverberating together, weaving and dissipating into air. It’s like the prequel to Subtub and sequel to the next album; the audio version of looking through an artist sketchbook. A reflection on where this journey began, where it is now and where, at some point, it may belong.

ML Buch is Marie Louise Buch, a Copenhagen-based composer, producer, guitarist and vocalist. Following the EP ‘Fleshy’ in 2017 she released her critically acclaimed debut album ‘Skinned’ on Danish imprint Anyines in 2020. ‘Suntub’ is her second full length release, a double album consisting of 15 tracks released in October 2023 on new label 15 love. 

In her compositional practice ML Buch sketches up her music in an almost architectural way. The raw material is generated through immersion in playing and assembling as a way of triggering random magic. Her live performances, both in solo and group formations, is reflective of her love of combining 7-string electric guitars in open tunings with synthetic instruments and electronic experiments.

Rupert Clervaux is an experimental musician, writer, and audio engineer, originally from  London and now based in Mallorca. He was a founder member of Sian Alice Group  (2007-2012), and since then has collaborated on numerous projects with, amongst others,  Beatrice Dillon, Ben Vince, Zoë Mc Pherson, Spring Heel Jack, HMOT, the Radiophonic  Workshop and, most recently, with Dania on the 2023 LP ‘Acción y Destino’. 

As a solo artist, Rupert released ‘After Masterpieces’ in May 2019––his first solo-LP, and also the first LP to be released on the influential electronic label AD93. The record is a collection  of six poems set to music, and features two collaborations with American experimental  artist and singer Anna Homler. And since 2017 he has created four instalments of his  ‘Zibaldone of CVX’ series––a project which sets audio excerpts of existing poetic texts,  philosophical discourse and critical thought within a wide array of music production  techniques. 

Extensive international touring and live performances in support of these projects have  seen Rupert appear at All Tomorrow’s Parties (UK/USA), MONA FOMA in Tasmania,  Rewire Festival in The Hague, Urvakan Festival in Yerevan, Brusfest in Moscow, SXSW, and London's Southbank Centre and Cafe Oto to name a few. In his role as a mix and  mastering engineer, his credits over the past decade include releases by a wealth of  acclaimed experimental, electronic and improvisational artists.

DJ and producer Yushh transports us to her formative years with the latest Off-Kilter submission. 

Featuring a collection of reflective tracks from 2008-2012, this collage is an insight into her delicate and emotive sound palette - intricate drum workouts, blissed out dub grooves, dream like vocals and emotive melodies phase through bass driven frequencies. 

Here, she tells a tale of what came before, a story of memory and influence, timeless and honest; it’s quintessentially Yushh in the rawest of forms.
