Writing melodies in your DAW is only possible thanks to MIDI. This tool first appeared in the 80s on the first Atari, and it kickstarted the democratization of music production.
For this mix I used MIDIS from Nintendo videogame OSTs and EDM songs, mixing them with 2000s R&B and trap acapellas. I used a VST to emulate the SONY SPC700 Soundchip, adding drum patterns from Big Room, Jersey Club, Post-Crunk, Trap, and Reggaeton.
This mix is for 2000s R&B lovers, for those who dream of a Lil Uzi and Hirokazu Tanaka b2b in Super Potato or in Nakano Broadway.
