Twinkling, delay-drenched, heart-squeezing melodies drift and dance among pot & pan percussion lines, warm, tape-treated kicks and grumbling Oberheimer synth and bass meddlings. For one of such royal heritage he lived a life far from the realms of luxury one might expect him to be accustomed to. The hole in the king's sock grew wider and wider each day as he trudged wearily through the forest, he cared not for gold and palaces but for the sweet essence of nature and the outdoors. Many had criticised his role within such mighty authority whilst others admired his humble reluctance towards the spotlight. For they cared not for the crown, the politics and it's reign but sought sweet freedom from its perilous clutches. 

Flexi Cuts are set to release their second EP in the form of a five track split. They invite a number of new found friends on to the label for the very first time.

A new place for their friends and like minded artists to call home, Vienna (named after the city in which they met) kicks off with a three track ode to 90's IDM and rave culture. 
Heavy on the atmospherics, opener ‘Stay Young’ weaves field recordings and background noise between primal melodies and UK breaks for an immersive and deeply ethereal cut. ‘Butterfly Walk’ takes you further into the rave, blending classic 90’s euphoria with uplifting piano chords and twisted acid synths, before Stanley’s nostalgic anthem ‘I Neva Said it’ closes out the EP by reworking a David Grant vocal over a kinetic electro beat.
Recreating all the experiences and emotions of raves gone by, but through a contemporary lens, Vienna001 offers an impressive glimpse into what’s in-store for the fledgling imprint.
