To identify molecular mechanisms controlling vein patterns, we analyzed scarface (sfc) mutants. sfc cotyledon and leaf veins are largely fragmented, unlike the interconnected networks in wild-type plants. SFC encodes an ADP ribosylation factor GTPase activating protein (ARF-GAP), a class with well-established roles in vesicle trafficking regulation. Quadruple mutants of SCF and three homologs (ARF-GAP DOMAIN1, 2, and 4) showed a modestly enhanced vascular phenotype. Genetic interactions between sfc and pinoid and between sfc and gnom suggest a possible function for SFC in trafficking of auxin efflux regulators. Genetic analyses also revealed interaction with cotyledon vascular pattern2, suggesting that lipid-based signals may underlie some SFC ARF-GAP functions. To assess possible roles for SFC in auxin transport, we analyzed sfc roots, which showed exaggerated responses to exogenous auxin and higher auxin transport capacity. To determine whether PIN1 intracellular trafficking was affected, we analyzed PIN1:green fluorescent protein (GFP) dynamics using confocal microscopy in sfc roots. We found normal PIN1:GFP localization at the apical membrane of root cells, but treatment with brefeldin A resulted in PIN1 accumulating in smaller and more numerous compartments than in the wild type. These data suggest that SFC is required for normal intracellular transport of PIN1 from the plasma membrane to the endosome.

A new mall called Amity mall has opened up, owned by Mr Manchanda (Arif Zakaria) and Mr Khan (Asif Basra) who claim it to be Asia's largest mall. The film starts off with a security guard talking to someone on phone but displays being paranoid. He looks towards a smokey apparation and begs it to let him go, but a chase ensues and he rapidly gets into his car, trying to escape but while going through the ramps of the basement, the car crashes and the man is eventually killed by an unknown force who strangled him using the seat belt.


A week later, Vishnu (Jimmy Shergill) goes to the mall to apply for the position of Head of security. Mr Khan interviews him but is interrupted by Tischa, the marketing director who says there's something important he must attend to. Mr Khan joins the others(Mr Manchanda, Mr Saini and Tischa) in a meeting room where the TV shows a news reporter covering up on the death of the security guard. The mall is reputed as being haunted because of various deaths of construction workers and mall staff and hence people refrain from working there, but Mr Khan hires Vishnu after he agrees to work there despite the claims. Vishnu quickly changes into his uniform in the locker room where the locker of the previous guard(who was killed) mysteriously opens, where a file falls down. On examining it, Vishnu finds photographs of camera footage from various areas of the mall all with the smokey apparation caught on camera.He catches someone spying on him and on confronting, it turns out to be a small girl whom he questions about her parents, but while he is distracted, the girl disappears. Vishnu seems perplexed but soon brushes it off and continues to the surveillance room along with his assistant, Rana. He does a quick search of the room and finds a some spilled jam which comes of as rather suspicious to him. He then sends Rana to check all cameras to make sure they're working but while in the basement, the storage room door opens by itself and on being ordered by Vishnu, Rana checks it out, but is shortly killed by an unknown apparation.


There is an opening of the mall including a lavish party where Mr. Khan and Mr. Manchanda inform the media that they will stay at the mall with their kids just to prove the mall is not haunted. This goes awry as people start getting killed by the same dark figure whereas Vishnu keeps getting random things (a small old box with random trinkets, pennies etc).


He also has random apparitions of a small girl. Eventually Mr. Khan's son is killed and he exclaims that they should not have done what they did the other night and Mr. Manchanda is to be blamed for his son's death. They keep running away and eventually a ghostly dark figure strangles Mr. Khan leaving Mr. Manchanda his daughter Ahana and Vishnu alive.





They try to escape via AC ducts but an unknown force pulls Vishnu away and he gets separated from Ahana and her father. There he sees the small girl again who reminds him that he was in fact Arjun and they all lived together in an orphanage which belonged to Mother who was in charge of the 22 kids. She was very loving and caring but also strict. One day Arjun was stealing some jam and on hearing some noise hides in the cupboard and hears the transaction between Mr. Khan, Mr. Manchanda and Mother for the land on which the orphanage was built but Mother declines the offer and sends them away.


Vishnu and Ahana are escaping when she is pulled and thrown against a pillar violently. Vishnu goes to help her but notices her skin being set on fire, he begs Mother to forgive her but when he sees that is not helping he hugs Ahana in order to be killed with her but seeing him being burnt Mother spares them both and leaves with the 21 kids in a white light having attained salvation. Evidence-based design
 (
EBD
) is the process of constructing a building or physical environment based on scientific research to achieve the best possible outcomes.[1][2] Evidence-based design is especially important in evidence-based medicine, where research has shown that environment design can affect patient outcomes. It is also used in architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, facilities management, education, and urban planning. Evidence-based design is part of the larger movement towards evidence-based practices.


Evidence-based design (EBD) was popularized by the seminal study by Ulrich (1984) that showed the impact of a window view on patient recovery.[3] Studies have since examined the relationships between design of the physical environment of hospitals with outcomes in health, the results of which show how the physical environment can lower the incidence of nosocomial infections, medical errors, patient falls, and staff injuries;[4][5] and reduce stress of facility users, improve safety and productivity, reduce resource waste, and enhance sustainability.[6]



Evidence
 in EBD may include a wide range of sources of knowledge, from systematic literature reviews to practice guidelines and expert opinions.[7] Evidence-based design was first defined as "the deliberate attempt to base design decisions on the best available research evidence" and that "an evidence-based designer, together with an informed client, makes decisions based on the best available information from research and project evaluations".[8] The Center for Heath Design (CHD), a non-profit organization that supports healthcare and design professionals to improve the understanding and application of design that influence the performance of healthcare, patient satisfaction, staff productivity and safety, base their model on the importance of working in partnership with the client and interdisciplinary team to foster understanding of the client, preferences and resources.[1]

MAJOR SPOILERS FOR TRISHNA FOLLOW

Why did Trishna do what she did? I didn't feel as if it was ever made clear why she killed her boyfriend, and why she ended up killing herself at the end of the film? It also was never really clear why her boyfriend went from being sweet and nice to cold and abusive. Instead of killing her boyfriend, why didn't she just leave him if she was unhappy, and go back to her family? And, once she had gone back to her family, why did she decide to kill herself? The whole conclusion of this movie really made no sense to me. If somebody has some thoughts on her motivations, and could put some of these actions in context, I'd appreciate hearing your thoughts.


I didn't see any indication whatsoever in the movie of the "interior" lives of any of the characters. What she was "really" thinking just wasn't covered. In a way this is realistic, as charcters in such wrenching circumstances have learned to suppress their true feelings (even if they're clear about what they are, which they're often not). On the other hand, it was potentially the biggest weakness of the movie. We can figure everything out by what the camera shows ...but it often takes some work. 

why she killed her boyfriend?
Not only did she go from living with him to not even being able to acknowledge their relationship to others, he began treating her like dirt. She wasn't even treated as well in the second hotel as she had been in the first hotel (no more TV carried into her room?). 

The bad joke about her being part "courtesan" (prostitute). The only times she saw him were when she was serving him meals. His wanting sex in places where she didn't feel comfortable. His apparently wanting anal sex that she didn't enjoy. "Commanding" her to take off her underpants. Having a "celebration" where all that happened was she danced for him (how was that a celebration for _her_?)

Also, the more general (less personal) thing that he began to act like a spoiled colonialist, treating not just her but all the employees quite superciliously. (The hotel he took over was described as "elegant" but our tour of it showed it to be nothing but "seedy". Is he a "throwback" to some other age?) We never see him working any more, in fact we mostly don't even see him standing. He winds up regularly sprawled in bed even at midday. 

why she ended up killing herself?
When she went back home her whole family was clearly more prosperous (new refrigerator, etc.) And her father commented explicitly that everyone knew they were living off her (obviously she had been sending back a significant amount of money).

But her father seemed deeply disappointed (previously he'd paid for an abortion, now he wouldn't even talk directly to her) and asked her where her "husband" was. The implication was that she had been obtaining the money illicitly (perhaps by prostitution), the whole village would soon figure it out, and then the whole family would be shamed.

The American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) publish a CT lexicon, which includes all the different vendor-specific terms for the CT localiser radiograph. Specifically, scout is used by GE, scanogram by Canon and Hitachi, topogram by Siemens and surview by Philips. Other less well-known manufacturers also use the same terms 1,2.





Methods: 
 Scout accelerated motion estimation and reduction (SAMER) uses a single 3-5 s, low-resolution scout scan and a novel sequence reordering to independently determine motion states by minimizing the data-consistency error in a SENSE plus motion forward model. This eliminates time-consuming alternating optimization as no updates to the imaging volume are required during the motion estimation. The SAMER approach was assessed quantitatively through extensive simulation and was evaluated in vivo across multiple motion scenarios and clinical imaging contrasts. Finally, SAMER was synergistically combined with advanced encoding (Wave-CAIPI) to facilitate rapid motion-free imaging.


Results: 
 The highly accelerated scout provided sufficient information to achieve accurate motion trajectory estimation (accuracy ~0.2 mm or degrees). The novel sequence reordering improved the stability of the motion parameter estimation and image reconstruction while preserving the clinical imaging contrast. Clinically acceptable computation times for the motion estimation (~4 s/shot) are demonstrated through a fully separable (non-alternating) motion search across the shots. Substantial artifact reduction was demonstrated in vivo as well as corresponding improvement in the quantitative error metric. Finally, the extension of SAMER to Wave-encoding enabled rapid high-quality imaging at up to R = 9-fold acceleration.
