I was introduced to house music at an early age, and this is largely because of my father. Whether it was a road trip or a braai at home with his friends, he would always play quality house music that somehow resonated with everyone in the room. 

Well, his influence resonates with me to this very day, as he made me realise from a very early age that music is a composition of various elements in order to invoke a specific emotion or message. 

With this being my first house set for Curated and first offering for 2023, I wanted to encapsulate the contrast between the “old” and the “new”. I wanted to highlight how the past matters, but is not a determinant of who we will ultimately become. I wanted to capture the influence my dad has had on me while also incorporating the influences of those around me and the people I love. You know who you are 
 This is a piece of me. A dedication to my heart in various human forms.
